Location across from the beach was very convenient. The motel is basic. Small rooms, no lounge area. It felt like a clean dorm room. Friendly staff. But don't book through Expedia--not reliable. Expedia sent the customer a confirmation for one set of dates and sent the motel a different set of dates for our stay.

Quaint and clean, in an excellent location. Wasn't too far of a walk to the boardwalk, or the beach. Will definitely stay again, if the opportunity presents itself.

I liked the staff and the pool. The proximity to the beach and boardwalk was good. The motel is nice in an old school way. Everything is old but works and is clean for the most part. They really could just paint to spruce the rooms up a bit and some new mattresses would help. Maybe a couple beach prints on the wall.

I’d stay again

The staff was welcoming and accommodating. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Not sure if there were… little things I didn’t want to bring home with me there but overall that’s what you can expect from a seaside motel, except the people were very nice (not typical) and the pool looked fun!

If you want to stay at the Jersey shore and not rent a condo, this is a great option. The rooms are small and bathrooms tight, but clean. The location could not be better; right across the street from the beach. You can walk to some restaurants, or a quick drive. You can certainly walk to and the length of the boardwalk, as I did (and I'm 61 years old). We were there during Ida and had beautiful weather both days, only a short storm one night. The manager is very attentive and helpful. Would recommend for a couple of any age.

Great place to stay

Clean rooms, friendly service. Great pool area. It’s a Typical Jersey shore hotel room, Not the best but not the worst. I was pleasantly surprised. Would definitely stay there again.

It was extremely clean. The staff was friendly. It was not fancy, but it was exactly what my wife and I needed. The only disappointment was the ‘breakfast included’ was bagels and coffee.

We will be back

We chose Luna Mar based on other reviews and the price, and were not disappointed. The motel was right across the street from a beautiful, life-guarded beach. The pool with plenty of seating was just outside our room. We liked that the motel had a relaxing and friendly vibe, yet there was plenty of action within walking distance at the Seaside Heights boardwalk. The fresh bagels and coffee were an added bonus. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful and assigned parking was close to our room. We are planning to take my mom with us on our next trip, as they have ground floor rooms and she will be able to get around easily.

First off there is nothing i did not like. We had another great stay at the Luna Mar! Tom and his staff are incredible! This is the only place we stay when we visit Seaside Park. Extremely happy to review Luna Mar with the highest rating possible! Can't wait to visit again next season!!

The location was great for beach access and proximity to the boardwalk area. However, the room was dirty upon in arrival, but being passed off as having been cleaned. Bed was made but sheets were GROSSLY soiled; toilet had paper seal, but was unflushed; counters were cleared, but there were sugar ants. The apartment had a musty smell. I did report it at front desk and the apartment did get cleaned in short order. I was grateful for the response, but my overall impression is poor. Would not go back or recommend. On a positive note, the warm bagels in the morning were a nicety.

Just perfect, very pleased

My boyfriend and I stayed in a one bedroom hotel room when we got there.There was an unflushed toilet. It didnt really bother us.the outlet cover was hanging off the wall but we went to tell the front office about the outlet hanging off the wall and they came to fix it immediately. The staff was extremely friendly. They were very informative. The pool was heated and clean. We will definitely be coming back. Thanks so much Luna Mar!

This motel is close enough yet far enough from all the noise and loud music, its a beautiful 15 minute walk along the boardwalk to all the entertainment and rides, food and everything else. But it is nice and quiet when its time to go to sleep with. The owners are very accomodating and friendly, we were leaving and the owners were very kind to let us have the beach passes for a few extra hours more. Yes they offer bagels and coffee in the morning. it would be nice if there was a toaster for those bagels.

Perfect Beach Getaway

We had just what we needed for a 4 day beach getaway. The refrigerator was nice and big. AC worked great, clean, friendly and convenient to everything.
