Manta Ray One - Skenes Creek

Manta Ray One is a landmark property offering breathtaking beach views and direct beach access. Perfectly positioned across the road from the beach, this property lets you enjoy your morning coffee while taking in the surf.
The Manta Ray One beach house seamlessly integrates with its seaside surroundings. Its unique, subtle stingray-inspired design harmonizes with the landscape, overlooking Skenes Creek Beach and the emerald hills of Apollo Bay.
Spanning two levels, this home boasts a cutting-edge open plan design. The first floor's living area captures a dynamic 180-degree view of the sea, rolling hills, and the scenic Great Ocean Road leading to Apollo Bay. The open plan space features an angled glass atrium, bathing in sunlight as you gaze out at the waves and beach. Inside, you'll find a cozy lounge with a wood fire, leather couches, and a large TV, alongside a fully equipped kitchen and dining area.
The lofty ceilings and polished floors enhance the natural light and complement the home's design. Two decks offer outdoor relaxation, one facing the ocean and another on the northern side with a BBQ and outdoor furniture.
On the ground level, you'll find three bedrooms and two bathrooms, including an ensuite in the master bedroom. Each bedroom provides a unique view through full-length windows, with two bedrooms featuring sliding doors leading to private decks and the native garden. This level also includes a fully equipped laundry.
Manta Ray One is pet-friendly, with a fully fenced yard and a kennel. The fenced courtyard offers ample space for surfboards, bodyboards, and beach gear, plus an outdoor shower to rinse off sandy feet.
Skenes Creek Beach is ideal for families, surfing, fishing, beachcombing, or a leisurely walk. At low tide, you can stroll along the beach from Skenes Creek to Apollo Bay. The property includes off-street parking with space for a boat or trailer.

We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property and I must say, it exceeded all of our expectations. The property itself is impeccably maintained and the rooms are spacious and clean. Watching the waves

A very special place, for its position and also its design. Yes, it's close to the road, but a landscaped native garden hides the traffic and brings little birds. The superb view from the open living first floor (beautifully furnished) is down to the creek and the breakers, and beyond to the lights of Apollo Bay. A wonderful stay!

If I could win Lotto, I'd buy it ! It did rain most of the time - but we didn't care, we had comfy chairs, a cosy fire, and an ever changing view watching the waves crash in. (Food, wine and conversation sold separately) The fur baby loved it too, very pet friendly.

Beautiful house in a gorgeous location

My husband and I wanted a few days away for our honeymoon, and decided that the Great Ocean Road was the place we wanted to visit. We spent quite some time looking for the perfect place, and just happened across "Manta Ray One". We immediately fell in love with the house, and loved the location even more. It's right on the beach, and close enough for us to take a visit to Forrest to check out the Platypus in Lake Elizabeth. The house was well stocked with wood for fires, perfect for the colder weather, and it was nice and clean for our arrival. We spent most days watching the beach goers and waves roll in and out, and were fortunate enough to see many rainbows out of those gorgeous windows. We had grand plans to go into Apollo Bay to go out to eat, but found we were happiest staying in. The kitchen amenities were fantastic - sharp knives and all of the kitchen comforts I'd have at home - a welcome change from some other places. However the best part about the house? It's dog friendly. It means furry little companions can join in, too - being able to spend time on the beach and cozy up by the fire. The backyard is secure with ALL the water bowls and a couple of dog kennels for them to go into when they're spending time exploring outside. Just note that dogs aren't allowed on the furniture, which makes perfect sense, as they want to keep it in good quality (without fur and dander), so make sure you have a nice doggy bed for your furry companions. It's also good to note that the beach isn't "dog friendly" year round, it appears (from signage), but during the winter, there's a near constant stream of dogs visiting (although all owners were respectful and kept their distance from each other) We loved our stay so much that we're already talking about when we can have ANOTHER visit.
