“Hotel Maria Isabel in Ataco was such a cute, cozy family-owned stay. The hotel was small, peaceful, and had such a welcoming atmosphere. Our room and bathroom were both very clean, which we really appreciated. There was no AC and unfortunately the fan in our room didn’t work, so we had to keep the windows open at night. But honestly, the hospitality made up for it. The breakfast was SO good, and the man at the front desk — who I think may have been the owner — was the sweetest. He was funny,……

“I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this all-inclusive resort. The food was awful, with very poor quality and almost nothing worth eating. The customer service was just as bad, and whenever we had a problem, nobody seemed interested in helping. What was even more frustrating was the manager, who was completely unprofessional and laughed when we brought up our concerns instead of trying to fix them. We even had to switch rooms because the air conditioning in our original room did……

“Amazing lake views + outstanding service. The lake view from the room alone was worth every penny, absolutely stunning, especially in the mornings. Front desk team gave outstanding service throughout. David was especially helpful and went above and beyond to accommodate a last-minute request. Drinks and breakfast at the bistro were highlights too. Griselda provided excellent, very polite and attentive service. Perfect spot for both an evening cocktail and morning coffee. “We stayed here after hiking the Santa Ana Volcano. We were able to use the thermal pools for our aching bodies and got a massage a the spa. The food was not great but the service was good. Crazy roads leading up to the hotel as well. Otherwise the staff was very accommodating and the pools were great.”
