“Check-in is posted as 3pm but when we arrived at 4:20pm our room was “still being cleaned”. No apology, no suggestion of where we should go or what we should do while we wait. Could hear every step taken by people in room above us even with our AC unit running and white noise playing. At 1:15am, I called the front desk to ask if anything could be done since we couldn’t sleep due to the noise. After no response from the staff on other end of phone, I said “hello, are you there?”. They said……

“Horrible sewer smell in bathroom. The ac worked from the unit on the floor not the co trolls on the wall.”

“When we entered the lobby, everything was great. As soon as we exited the elevator, on the third floor we immediately noticed the odor. I believe it smelt like dog. I was hoping our room did not smell, but I was wrong. We did keep the windows open which helped but not entirely. Everything appeared to be very clean, but you can't ignore the smell.”

“The room was spacious and exceptionally clean. There is ample and convenient parking as well. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and helpful. The Inn is right downtown adjacent to the square and all the restaurants and shops, and just a short walk to the Waterfront park. We make regular trips to Southern Maryland to visit family, but this is our first time staying in Leonardtown. We will definitely be returning to The Inn at Leonardtown.”

“I like this brand. I know what to expect when we check in. Here are the problems we experienced here. 1) Could not get an answer to request the shuttle to pick us up at rental car area, 2) Ice machine did not work on our floor. Went to another floor and cleaning staff got the one on that floor with some difficulty. 3) Casting on TV would not work. Maintenance was able to get it working, Bath and room are great.”

“Upon arrival we were shocked to see complete front entrance demolition/ remodeling! We honestly thought the place was closed and we were at the wrong location! After a few seconds, we notice temporary arrow signs leading us to a temporary entrance. Thank goodness. Staff greeting was professional and pleasant. No mention of the demo. We were promptly checked in and given our room #. Room was wonderful and no complaints other than location. First floor, right next to "new entrance" and double……

“We loved our stay in the Love Shack near Piney Point. It’s a small, cozy retreat in a beautiful and rural part of Maryland. The place is very clean, comfortable, quiet, and the listing details are accurate. Owner Katie is extremely helpful and communicative. We hope to return some day.”

They also provided an enormous amount of local history and ideas for entertainment. We look forward to going back for a relaxing and spirited time together with family.”
