「Lovely old fashioned room with a large single bed. Very comfortable bed and an ensuite shower room. All the staff were lovely and friendly and breakfast was delicious. I booked the hotel to use as a base to attend 3 race meetings. Cheltenham on the way up, Liverpool on day 2 and nearby Bangor-on-Dee on day 3. It worked out perfectly and I was even able to visit Wrexham as well, so no complaints from me. 」

「Great location. The hotel is almost next door to the railway station. The room is clean, warm. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that there is no lift and the staircase is very narrow, which made carrying four suitcases upstairs a real challenge.」

「Can't find anything negative to say about this place. It was easy to find and close to the town centre, a 7 min walk. We were greeted by a very friendly member of staff on arrival who showed us to our room which was warm, clean and homely. Beds were very comfortable. Would recommend.」

「A little remote, but in a nice environment. Nice and cosy, and run by a old couple. The only drawback for an overall top marks is because of the shower, although it is newly installed, it is difficult to operate and the water pressure is somewhat too low to have a nice shower. The worst part is the wall inside the shower cubicle is dirty but consider the old couple are working hard to run the hotel and also the nice letters restaurants, so it is not a complaint, just would like to point it...
