“When booking I didn't realise the hotel was right next to the ticket office to Wookey Hole Caves, what a bonus. Checking in was easy and the staff were very informative. After a busy day we decided to have dinner in the hotel restaurant. You do have to reserve in advance but the staff went the extra mile and fitted us in, we were very thankful due to having an exhausted and hungry child. We couldn't fault the meal, we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The family room was a good size, including two……

“Room was pleasant but was not serviced on second day. Cooked breakfast was reasonable but there was no cereal to start with nor toast and jam to follow. One cup of cofee only which was served 30 minutes before the cooked meal arrived on the second day. Mains were good but starters and sweet menu was limited and fairly expensive. Overall we were not unhappy but would not have wanted to stay for a third night and would be question if we would use this chain again if this is typical of all their……

“The hotel spa was dirty and had dead flies everywhere in and around the pool. There was a light hanging down from the ceiling in the steam room. Multiple lights smashed in the carpark. We also didn’t have any towels in our room upon arrival.”

“A very nice hotel, the rooms at the rear of the hotel were former farm buildings which have been completely renovated. There is a wet room ensuite which is well appointed. The restaurant has a good choice of food which is excellently cooked and presented. The breakfast menu which has to be ordered the evening before was slightly confusing until I worked out that the price stays the same and you just tick your personal choices. Well sited and only 6 minutes from the Bristol Airport Silver Zone……

“We stayed for 1 night as we had a flight from Bristol at 6am so we didn't make much use if the hotel, such as the breakfast. Check in was easy and it was easy to leave at 3am, if you're looking for a nice hotel nit to far from the airport. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed for evening meals when we arrived due to a problem with the equipment, the hotel did inform us beforehand which was good of them. The room was clean, the window pane was broken, fortunatkey there is secondary glazing, so……

“The pub is an old building, therefore there are things that cannot be changed, so if you are a light sleeper and cannot use ear plugs this may not be for you. It was not an issue for us. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, we had one evening meal there, breakfast was perfect, they were very accommodating by tweaking the menu to what you prefer. Very close to the caves and gorge, easy to access other attractions.”
