"Everything was great: the views, the amenities, the living space, the location, and the host. My only regret is wasting so much time looking at other options instead of going with my gut when I first saw this listing.I was hesitant for a few reasons but none of them turned out to be problems. The location looked a little further east than what I was hoping, but it turned out to be great (proximity to town, restaurants, the boardwalk, etc. was worth being a little further from the beaches on the West End). At 500 sq. ft., the living space sounded like it might be a bit small, but in reality it was more than enough and probably bigger than most hotel rooms (and you also don't go to St. Croix to sit inside... but there's plenty of room inside and out to relax on a down day).Then there was the feeling of "what's the catch"... not many reviews and not much history for a private pool, hot tub, living space, and property, with great views, in a good location, not shared with anyone else (not even the owner in the main home) at a very reasonable price? I'm happy to report there was absolutely no catch. This seems to be a simple matter of a newer listing and getting started, no strings attached.Many things were clearly brand new. Furniture with tags still attached (bed, nightstands, etc.), some towels still with tags, extra blankets/bedding in drawers still in plastic packaging, etc.One thing worth noting is you'll probably want an SUV/Jeep for the hill/driveway."

"The unit was clean and ready to go, once we found it. We arrived after dark and could not find it but Silver, the host, met us at the entry of this gated community and escorted us up. We own a place on St Croix but it was rented to others so we needed a place to stay for a week. This unit is convenient to the east end restaurants and there are 3 beaches within a 5 minute drive. The unit is huge and could use some more furnishing but the basics were there. We only did breakfast at the unit which we enjoyed on a little patio with the same 5 chickens every morning. If we get in a bind again and need to rent we would stay here. No views or pool but the price is right and beaches and town are very close."

"This was a vacation to remember for a long time! The host’s communication was very impressive. The location was awesome! The condo was very comfy and relaxing. We WILL be back!!!"

"Candy and Mark are great hosts they met us at the unit showed us around and even put libations and snacks in fridge for our first night. "

"Too much money for what you get. Only two very small forks. Bed sheets are old and stretched out and don’t stay on the mattress. Only blanket had not been washed for some time and was pretty gross.only way to turn off fan was to turn off power to half of the apartment."

"We loved the house and location! Our group of 5 couples had plenty of space to gather in common areas (large dining table), thoroughly enjoyed the pool and were delighted with the well appointed kitchen - everything we needed to cook for a large group. Shoys Beach was lovely and an easy walk from the house. Hosts reached out with lots of info in advance. It was challenging to find the house at first, however - good to have the photo of the entrance to recognize it. We would definitely stay again!"
