“J'ai passé un séjour exceptionnel à The Villa of Zanzibar ! Cette villa offre un cadre calme et apaisant, tout en étant à 10 minutes en voiture de Nungwi, un village animé. Pour mon séjour, j'ai loué la Sea View 2. La vue donne directement sur la piscine et plus loin l'océan, un vrai bonheur lors du réveil ! La chambre était nettoyée tous les jours et de nouvelles décorations avec des fleurs étaient chaque fois créés sur le lit. Une attention qui m'a beaucoup plu. Le personnel était souriant……

The staff are not welcoming at all 7am you’ll hear them make noise right outside your room , we stayed here for New Year’s Eve and day. The fact……

“If You are looking for an American/European resort this place May disappoint you. When I travel I like authentic local places. This place is totally Africa. Breakfast was modest and great. The food to order from the kitchen was fresh and very reasonably priced. The bring the food to you in front of your bungalow. Security was good. The highlight of my entire trip was swimming with the turtles that you can do for free if you stay here. Very close to beach and local Zoo.”

“The hotel is a modest hotel. Practically on the beach which is a big plus.breakfast is ok, nothing to brag about. Make sure you reserve a room with a/c, during the summer it's hot and the humidity is sky high The Wi-Fi is the worse, I had to go to the waves restaurant next door to connect .”

Even if it's not exactly 5-star accommodation they are making a good effort to cater to the needs of westerners. The restaurant has plenty of ambience and again the staff is friendly but the service is slow (this is endemic in Zanzibar though) and the breakfast selection is quite basic. Die Poolanlage (4 riesige Pools) laden zum Schwimmen ein....wenn mal nicht ins Meer geht. Der Strand ist direkt an der Anlage. Ein traumhafter Strand und ein Meer wie im Aquarium. Hier kann man auch bei Ebbe schwimmen gehen! Sonnenliegen sind ausreichend vorhanden, so dass es keine Kämpfe um diese gibt. Das Essen ist wirklich sehr sehr gut, die Auswahl riesig und abwechslungsreich.……

“Excellent surroundings - a lot of shadow, a lot of sun beds right next to the ocean - great! Good restaurant with nice place to sit and chill whole day. :) Rooms location is strange as it faces parking, not nice to spend time there, but rooms inside are clean and comfortable. The main drawback - NO POOL. The hotel is located in place with no beach, so at low tide you are not able to swim. Location of the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, no option for short walk etc.”
