"This was amazing hotel. Amazing service as you pull up to the hotel, everything was seamless and you get a welcome drink. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was designed beautifully. Breakfast at the hotel was good, they even come by with samples of different local delicacies. Leaving the hotel. There is someone outside check for your ride while you sit inside."

"Beautifully restored - heritage exterior with mod cons suite. Staff were attentive & very obliging. You get what you pay for with this boutique hotel The hotel gets the big things right. There were a few things that could be improved: • The hotel has a 24-hour front desk & advised us to leave the room key with them when we go out. However, on our return, the front desk wasn’t manned. We had to wait some 10 minutes before a staff member appeared. A simple bell or alert system when a guest is waiting at the front desk would solve the problem • The tea cups in the room were chipped, so was the marble top of the breakfast table"

"A beautiful heritage terrace house in a fantastic location in George Town, within walking distance of many attractions. We stayed comfortably for two nights, with three guests each enjoying their own king bed and sharing two well-appointed bathrooms. The furniture, décor, and amenities were all thoughtfully chosen. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a vintage stay full of old-world charm"

"Feel very welcomed. Awesome staffs from front desk to breakfast room to housekeeping. TV and the kettle didn’t work on first night and they sent electrician the next morning to get it fixed. They also gave us a plate of fruits for our trouble. Small gestures but made us felt valued. Room was very nice, bed and pillows so comfortable and shower was wonderful. The gym was slightly underwhelming thought it would have more equipments. Breakfast was nice with lots of choices. Slightly disappointed with the location. I imagined it to be right in town with lots of shops and eating places but Gurney Drive was not what I remembered fifty years ago!!! Probably better off staying in the heritage area of George Town. But it is fairly easy to get Grab and reasonably priced too. Dont go to Bali Seafood nearby, it is expensive and mediocre, I don’t understand how it get Michelin award at all!!!"

"Once again our stay was very enjoyable. The staff in the restaurant are so friendly and assist in any way possible. The pool attendant was exceptional, bringing our towels down personally and setting them out for us. Everything is well maintained and our room overlooked the Straits of Malacca. We shall return."

"The room was spotless and well appointed. There is a local hawker centre about 400 meters away which we walked to for dinner. The bus stops were very handy and only 2MR to George Town. Zeus coffee was 5 mins across the road which my coffee enthusiastic enjoyed for price and quality. "
