「It could be a lovely hotel if the staff smiled and had a clue what was going on. There was a lovely and friendly lady on reception, and one of the waiter serving in the evening was friendly, as was one of the bar staff (Josh). Everyone else seemed a bit surprised to have guests, and the women working at the bar weee positively rude in their demeanour. It could definitely do with an injection of cash to update it. 「Everything was easy, good food, reasonably priced and quiet location. Clean rooms, hotel nice vibe, relaxing stay and decent bathroom」

「Our river view room (one of three) had a beautiful upstairs with deck chairs and a table, which were perfect for morning tea and for watching the river. We even bought dinner at Waitrose and ate on our little deck.」

「On arrival noticed air con not working in room spoke with Sophie on reception who said that she would get maintenance to come and sort it out. Reminded about an hour later “yes, all in hand” Went out for the evening, came back and you guessed it, not been sorted, boiling hot and not helped by being on the top floor. Building is tired, bar staff in garden serve you like they are doing you a favour. Breakfast is good and staff in there really helpful.」

Lovely room, great size, neat, clean, can't fault it. Very helpful manager and staff. Breakfast choice was great. Bar and all grounds kept clean and tidy and the whole place had a lovely 'at home' feeling - shame we couldn't stay longer! Thanks for the hospitality - highly recommend.」

「Love the environment and style of the hotel. Breakfast is not included but worth the price. They have buffet continental breakfast as well as freshly cooked ordered by yourself ！ Lots of parking slots. Quiet and clean hotel, good stay!」

「Amazing stay - hotel overall heritage, and condition. Warm and helpful greeting even though we booked v last minute the hotel handled it smoothly. Dinner outside at the grill was great. Residents lounge is a nice touch and breakfast the next day was also exceptional. Thank you team !」
