「The Barrington looks a bit tired but the room was excellent clean and spacious.Breakfast offered a good range and ticked all the boxes Staff were amiable and helpful. Decent parking options available and public transport right outside the door. Not the Ritz but fully met our expectations.」

Located a bit away from the city centre, the hotel's deco, ambience and service were comparable to a 5-star hotel. We were particularly impressed by the service of Ali, proactive, considerate and detailed to meet our needs, even the unspoken. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel and found them enjoyable. 」

「The breakfast was wonderful - but the room was not great - it was right next to an alley where people were drinking/smoking into the night; so pretty noisy (no double-glazing). There was no shampoo and the mirror light kept going on and off! The hotel is undergoing renovations which might be the problem. Wouldn’t recommend for now, despite much appreciating the breakfast. 」

「This was a great place to stay for an overnight stop. Really great value. Bathroom was clean and functional. Beds were comfy, although a little rickety. Breakfast was basic, but decent. The staff were really lovely. The whole place could do with a bit of TLC, but for the price, it was very good.」
