The location is perfect. Let’s start with a positive… The kitchen is extremely well stocked. Communication with the property manager/owner was super easy and incredibly responses. On the other hand… agree with the other reviews that said the furniture is oversized and many elements of the unit needs to be updated.
We were right in the thick of Lionshead Village. Great location and near the bus stop to vail village as well. This is definitely an older building like most in Vail so comes with its bumps and bruises but overall great stay and RJ was an EXCELLENT host!
This is a great location in Lionshead, Vail. Property is as presented. Owner was easy to work with on this quick spring ski trip. Parking is provided.
Unit is a third floor walk up.
Location, Location Location
RJ is a great host and VERY responsive. The condo is incredibly well located in Lionshead about 50 yards from the gondola and surrounded by shops and restaurants. The condo is on the 3rd floor so you have to walk up 2 flights of steps, but really that was no issue for us or our dog - - nice to be able to bring the dog with us on our ski trip to Vail. The condo is really well stocked for cooking from pots and pans to spices and olive oils and everything else (even coffee provided to make). It is an older building but everything was totally fine and we were 4 adults and one dog and plenty of room. Would stay again for sure. Thanks RJ
Loved the location so close to great restaurants, shops, and the slopes. The condo was very clean. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it needs some repairs. The couch leg extender is broken, coffee pot was cracked, and draws in the kitchen broken. Beds very comfy, plenty of pillows and towels. Loved I could bring my dog. Stairs and path from parking lot to the condo was very icey, difficult to roll bags though snow and ice (not sure why it wasn't cleared, but I assume because it's off season, not VRBO's fault though). I would stay here again.
Kitchen updated & well stocked; kitchen appliances in good working order; toiletries well stocked; beds clean & comfortable; bathrooms very small with sloppy finish work; kitchen faucets need attention; leaking water under fixtures; washer/dryer combo not used because it smelled, door should have been left open to dry out; had some issues with hot water running instead of the cold water, but issue resolved itself, could indicate future problems; was disappointed that balcony was unusable - used for firewood storage and had no furniture; no screen in balcony slider.
Things I loved:1. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!!2. Pet Friendly3. Great communication with property manager; Easy check in/check out 4. Kitchen/toiletries were well stocked. 5. Designated parking space relatively close by Things I didn't love: 1. Condo is in DIRE need of renovation. (The "shower only" bathroom in particular is pretty gross.) All of the walls/doors need sanding and painting. The furniture is old/outdated and the living area furniture is much too large for the space, meaning you are constantly stepping over each other. (We had 4 adults 1 Golden Retriever.) 2. Inadequate storage - Closets are already basically full with what appears to be the owner's personal belongings/holiday decorations. We had to rearrange just to be able to hang a few items, but the shelves and floor space were totally unusable. (Traveling with "regular attire" plus all of the specialized "ski attire" requires LOTS of storage! )3. There is no AC, which admittedly is not uncommon for the area, but temps reached high 50s several days we were there in early Feb, and it got VERY HOT in the condo after direct sun all day. We had to keep all doors open to be comfortable when cooking/sleeping, which was not ideal. Overall, it feels like they are relying entirely on the great location to attract guests, and doing the absolute bare minimum beyond that to make the stay enjoyable. I can't wait to return to Lionshead, but I would not recommend this particular unit in its current state.
We love Lionshead Village. Everything you need within steps from the rental. Being so close to the gondola made it a great location for our ski trip. The toughest part is climbing the stairs to the 3rd floor but worth it for the views and taller ceilings.

Great location but that's it
The rental is a great location for skiing; however, the unit itself is not. While adequate for adults only - those with children should be concerned about some defunct components such as open and exposed electrical outlets, broken and exposed heating pipes on the radiators, kitchen drawers full of knives that almost fall out when being opened, etc.

Location great. Place not so great
Loved that we were so close to everything but those stairs up were killers. The place needs updating and no air circulation so we were miserable at night
The location is perfect, short walk to the gondola and lifts. We all hate walking in ski boots but the walk wasn't bad at all. Grocery store, restaurants, and a bus stop are also just a short walk away. The place is on the small side. Throughout the week we had 3 -5 adults and managed to fit just fine.
The owner was very nice and accommodated our special request.
Overall, a nice place in a great location.

The best location of any condo in the area!
The condo was as advertised! Perfect location in the heart of Lionshead and steps away from the gondola and shopping. The condo was ready for us and it was perfect. One bedroom was a little tight with very minimal walking space or places to put luggage, but that is just me being picky. We hope to stay there again since we go to Vail often. Would recommend it to anyone! Thanks to the owners for letting us use it!

Location, location, location!
Amazing location in Lionshead Village! Close walk to everything. The condo had was stocked with everything and anything you might need. The ONLY negative is that it is on the 3rd floor with no elevator, so if you have a lot of luggage, prepare to carry it all up 3 flights of stairs. Other than that, the owner was very helpful and responsive. We loved being so close to Bart and Yetti's for a quick bite or drink.

Vail Condo at Lionshead
We arrived on Sunday and stayed until the following Saturday. The condo is nice, tastefully decorated and comfortable. My wife and I and 2 children stayed the week. Having a washing machine in the unit is a big help and allowed us to pack lighter than we otherwise would have. The location is great. Just steps downstairs to the French Bakery and just steps to the slopes. Parking space was included which again is a plus. Questions I had were quickly addressed and the overall expeience was great. I would stay there again.
This property was perfect for us. So convenient to everything in Lionshead - lifts, gondola, shops, Starbucks and great restaurants were just steps away. Beds/bedrooms were cozy but comfortable. Kitchen was abundant with pots, pans, dishes etc. Unexpected extras/odds and end that we usually don’t see (like condiments, tea, hot chocolate, playing cards, wine opener were nice bonuses. great view from balcony. Owner was proactive in communicating everything we needed to know about the property and surrounding area. Will definitely stay again! Location alone made it well worth it!

Great location - nice property
This rental is right in the Lionshead area - you can walk to the lift. Shops and restaurants right there. The kitchen is well stocked. The owner communicates in a timely fashion. Nice table, bar, stocked with fire wood, washer and dryer. Two bathrooms. The master is a little tight as are the bathrooms - and it was more than fine. We were missing fire starters and a hair dryer. Note - no soap. No bath soap or shampoo - they do provide laundry soap. We enjoyed our time and the customer service. We would go back.

location, location, location
The condo was as advertised. The biggest plus is the location - it truly is within steps of Lions Head ski school and the Gondola. Very convenient especially if you have young children as we did.
Owner was very responsive to all communications from time of reservation throughout our stay.
The condo is a little on the older side, and the bathrooms were a bit tight. However, we have experienced similar things in other condos in ski resorts. The second bedroom was great for our 3 kids with the double bunks and large day bed - they loved it.
Price was overall pretty reasonable, especially given the expensive nature of Vail.
Walking up 2 flights of stairs without option of elevator made for for extra work, but not a huge deal.
We would rent their again.
The property truly embodies the phrase: "Location...Location...Location".
It truly is one of the premier locations in Lionshead. While the property description and photos don't capture it, there is a full sized washer/dryer in the Master bedroom. A bit odd location for it, but they made the most of optimizing the small space available in the condo and we were greatful for it.
Property manager RJ was AMAZING! Very proactive and highly responsive ensuring everything was ready and ok for our stay. He did remind us of the 2 flights of stairs to climb to the 3rd floor, but we were totally fine with it and it really wasn't a big deal.
As others have stated, the poperty is pretty small. Bathrooms remind me a bit of cruise ship sized bathrooms, but again not a big deal for us b/c we didn't spend much time in condo anyway. Definitely needs some updating: hardware for cabinets, new lighting, very strange wall switches, larger TV, duct tape down the middle of the dining table(?), and the deck would have been nice to use, but it was cluttered with chopped fire wood, a cooler, and a small garbage can of some sort which made it unusable.
Overall, it's a great spot, so don't let the small stuff dissuade you, just know it's all about Location and it provides the basic amenities that u need. I'd do it again for sure, just not at peak season prices. An honest review and still 4 Stars 🌟

Location was great!. The villa was outdated and overstuffed with furniture, leftover items in kitchen cabinets, and closets were full. Can’t beat the location and RJ was extremely responsive. Just needs some space cleaning.
