Venice Beach Hotel

"Room was clean. Service was fast. They list an LAX shuttle as a free amenity when it certainly is NOT FREE. The shuttle also does NOT take cash. Almost left me stranded at the hotel with no way to the airport. Managers are rude, staff is fed up and area is excessively not safe. Would book a nicer hotel if im ever forced to stay in LA again. "

"Super nice hotel for a VERY reasonable price. They upgraded us to a suite recently at no cost and without us asking, just a little “high five” in our direction?? We’ve stayed here around 5 times over the last two years and it’s always awesome! Only wish they had a jacuzzi, that’s the only thing close to a complaint on my end. Otherwise a perfect hotel. "

"The staff was very courteous and responsive. The lobby was very nice modernly decorated. They had a nice lounge area that I would had liked to hang out in if i had more time. The pool area and patio looked very inviting. One of my big concerns was the smell. Unfortunately it smelled like urine, or catbox. As soon as we entered the room the smell hit me in the face. I opened the balcony door to try and let the room air out but the smell was permiated. I had to spray perfume several times. The lobby smelled the same. As soon as you come in the front doors you can smell it. The place looked nice and clean, so i'm not sure where the smell is coming from. Aside from the bad smell , the hotel was decent for the price. "
