“I have rarely used exceptional to review a hotel but the Kames was. We travelled here from New Zealand on holiday and we only had one night but it was exceptional. The restaurant menu is top class, the range on the menu was great and seriously 10/10. I had locally free dived seared scallops from the loch, I had the slow roasted goat shank with lentils - exceptional, and we shared a lemon tart with fresh berries. “Stayed with grandchildren in a great room. Staff extremely knowledgeable and accomodating. I did not like the breakfast dining experience. No back ground music the food was not great and you coukd hear a pin drop. No one talking at tables it felt awkward. Otherwise a great stay. I will stay again it was very pricey but location is why ”
