「We loved our stay at The Lodge! It was a lovely experience all around. Enjoyed the front yard and the cleanliness and availability of small toiletries in bathroom. Check in and out was easy. We appreciate the host letting us extend our stay to a night early last minute. Super responsive to messages and accommodating. Laundry was a great bonus. The rental was so comfortable and relaxing. We stayed in the suite. We highly recommend The Lodge! Also great proximity to town and the Appalachian Trail....

「Overall the location was good with river access on a great stretch of the river. Be ready for 72 stairs down a very steep hill to get there so not very accessible for elderly and guests with physical limitations. House is old and outdated. Overall clean but listing is misleading. 「We stayed here over the 2025 Christmas holiday with our extended family. We had 12 adults and one infant staying and the accommodations were wonderful. Often, when we book a house with plenty of beds, there aren't enough bathrooms, a big enough dining room or kitchen. This house had it all! 「It was a perfect weekend. The house is great for large groups, the bedrooms are all spaced out and there is so many bathrooms, that everyone had privacy. The decor is very eclectic and interesting, made me wonder about the travel stories that went with them. My favorite was hands down the master bathroom. A larger grill would be good as well as all the pieces to the checkers and chess sets. Convenient to wineries/breweries. Ducard is our favorite. We would definitely return!」

「We had family meet to stay here over Thanksgiving. We all had a great time here enjoying the woods and wildlife. And you will need an all wheel drive vehicle to get down to it, because it's steep. It has all the privacy you want, tucked in the woods overlooking Big Reed Island. We enjoyed the peace and the layout of this unique property with its interesting decor and unique floor plan. Consider this the one if you want a private, relaxing get together spot.」
