Big Island tropical paradise

Beautiful home, well maintained, nicely appointed and very close to Volcanoes NP. Would definitely stay here again if we ever return to the Big Island.

Favorite Place on the Big Island

Maile Treehouse was our favorite place we stayed around the island. Surrounded by trees and plants, truly felt we were in paradise. Both the 1st and 2nd floors have separate entries, we chose to stay upstairs because of the openness and kitchen. Close to Volcano National Park, Volcano is a charming community with local art galleries and tasty food trucks.

Wonderful!

We loved staying at this property! I went on a 2 night trip with a friend and wish we had stayed longer! Such a beautiful home in the lush rain forest. I definitely want to come back and stay a couple of more days with my family. Just FYI there is a bit of bumpy dirt road to get to the house and the driveway is a bit narrow to get in and out of but no big deal.

That was a cozy and nicely laid out place, with an artistic touch. It is 10 minutes away from the Volcano park. We absolutely enjoyed staying in this cabin located in the midst of the beautiful fern forest, it was an unforgettable experience for us.

Our second wonderful stay

Peaceful and comfortable. A great place to recharge. For two days we didn't leave except to walk along the road and enjoy the flowers and the fowl. Very close to the volcano park but like being tucked into a rainforest. Excellently equiped.

Beautiful Spot

Large windows, comfy bed, we really enjoyed this spot after hiking the national park nearby. It’s also close to restaurants, including Lava Rocks (best coconut cake and coconut cheesecake!).

Charming and unique

The treehouse was very comfortable and clean. There were lots of personal touches that make this place very unique and interesting. Situated in a densely wooded area, there is only one neighboring property visible so we felt we had great privacy. If you are coming in after sunset, be sure to follow their directions and have a flashlight you can shine on the mailboxes for the house numbers.

It was clean, well appointed, comfortable, very well represented from the on-line description, and best of all quiet and relaxing. Customer service was wonderful. We received a welcoming text upon our arrival with immediate contact information should we need help with anything. So nice to be close to the Volcano National Park, the Volcano Village, and Hilo only half an hour or so away, yet the place had a feeling of tranquility and remoteness. We would definitely stay again.

Amazing Hideaway in Volcano!

Our stay was great in the treehouse! The house is so beautiful all the wood is very easy on the eyes. The spa tub and the shower were pleasantly unique! We enjoyed every aspect of our stay, from check in to check out, we didn’t have an issue at all. The WiFi was great and there’s some good eating nearby. The only thing we didn’t love was the windows did not have screens, otherwise we would have left the windows open more because the weather was always beautiful at that elevation. Overall amazing stay! I would recommend this to my family if they are ever in the area.

Cozy and Comfortable

Relaxing Stay

We ended our Hawaiian vacation here at Maile Treehouse and it was absolutely wonderful. The house was super clean and tidy. The area of Volcano itself is pretty bare, make sure to get anything you need from Hilo before coming to the house.

Perfect for our Volcano National Park Excursions

Excellent accomodations & overall ambience. So close to the Volcano National Park and 45 minutes to Hilo. The surrounding trees truly made the stay feel like you were staying in a secluded rainforest. The host was excellent in all communication and definitely delivered on the description of the house. Definitely recommend!

Quiet and Clean Place to Stay

Met our needs perfectly for two couples. The property is located close to the National Park which allowed us to visit the site and hike numerous trails. We enjoyed out stay and there are great restaurants (all though limited numbers) which provide a pleasant dining experience. If we went to the area again, would book this location. The two restaurants that met our expectations were Kilauea Lodge and Ohelo Café. Cheers
