"Beautiful property, lovely gardens.
Breakfast was amazing - great mushrooms!
Bed was huge and comfortable.
Staff were fab - very helpful.
Only downside is no door between the bathroom and bedroom - so very little privacy. "
"This hotel was really good value for money. I would not bother paying for the breakfast as this was over priced. The rooms were clean and comfortable but it did say that it will be changing to a premier inn soon and the rooms will all be having a make over. I would stay here again if returning to Newcastle."
"Fab little apartment. Really clean and ideal for a 3 night stay while my daughter was having surgery in the RVI - ideal location too.
Really friendly staff too.

"Lovely pub/hotel. Very friendly. We didn't opt for breakfast, just by our choice. Only problem is the regulars told us there is no where around to grab food other than order"
"Lovely tranquil location amidst countryside, easy drive to nearby places of interest. Dog friendly. Well equipped kitchen, bathroom and cosy living room and bedroom with all amenities to make this a great home from home stay for a couple of days. Warm welcome, friendly, attentive service from Hilary and staff. 1 minute walk to cafe for excellent breakfast, which we ate outdoors in sunshine. Excellent value, with the bonus of a free pass to Beamish Museum, which saved us 50. Short drive / walk to nearby pub and restaurant, both with excellent food. Chinese takeaway also delivered promptly. We'd gladly recommend and return to any of the accommodations on this site "
"The property was clean and convenient for Beamish where I was working but there was a lot of empty beer cans and rubbish in the back yard, there was only 5 bath towels so no extra to change these if needed and only one hand towel and floor towel in tbe bathroom, I asked for more along with a couple more cups as there was only 3 but the cleaners didn’t turn up to address this, maybe a quick visit by the owners to assess what else is needed for five people might help but over all a pleasant stay thank you and yes I would stay again😊"
"Friendliest staff I’ve ever met at a hotel had to move rooms due to noisy air conditioning units outside our window but accommodated us no problem couldn’t do enough for you definitely will go back thanks for a great weekend "
