「What a terrific spot! The bar was comfy, and cosy; the room clean, and tastefully decorated with a comfy bed, and wonderful view of the viaduct and Whernside. And, the fish & chips - exceptional! For us, the staff made our stay, Will, Courtney, Angela, & Val, couldn't do enough for us, despite a very busy bank holiday weekend. Thank you, we had a great evening and a cracking breakfast to boot.」

「Only had a short stay at this lovely little place Staff very chatty/friendly Had minor issue which was dealt with promptly and without any question or fuss The breakfast choices were very good and cooked as you asked for it .. not just your average semi warm buffet, cooked fresh The restaurant food was also very good with plenty of choices Our bathroom was in need of some TLC but is due for upgrade - did not affect there was plenty of hot water, clean towels daily and lovely soaps etc already...

「Staff were very pleasant, friendly and exceptionally helpful. The decor in the room was beautiful and it was very clean with plenty of tea making facilities including ‘proper’ mugs and a teapot with tea cosy which was a lovely extra. However the room was very, very small and it did not have any drawers or wardrobe to store clothes (there was a small rail in the corner with four hangers to hang a few items). The en-suite was also very small but it was supplied with lovely White Company...

「The Red Dragon is advertised as "Has Onsite parking Very Rare for location. That was the reason we booked it. When we arrived we discovered it has zero parking. The manager and staff apologised and advised where we should park. the town is short of longterm parking. We ended up spening a lot of time driving around and paying a lot for overnight parking. The rooms are fine. the breakfast very good, the Staff friendly and helpful」
