“Running a bed and breakfast is not easy. It's a lifestyle and an artform. Amy and Mark have mastered this completely and are true artists. The place was comfortable, well designed, clean and very classy. Breakfast on the patio was magnificent. Different entrees were served each day, one more delicious than the previous. The patio was a peaceful way to start the morning. Their advice on where to eat was spot on. Our four days in Maine was a remarkable vacation, and the memories will last……

“We stayed at the Stone House for 3 days in July and had a wonderful time. Jane, our host, was great: kind and generous, friendly and helpful in every way. The breakfasts were deliscious and Jane accomodated my gluten free needs with ease. The house was immaculate, and quiet. Our room was very spacious and the bed soooo comfortable. We walked to Popham Beach and back for a lovely day at the ocean. We want to return!!”

“Lovely roomy inn in South Bristol, Maine on Christmas cove. The hosts Alex a nd Freddy were very friendly and welcoming. My room was spacious with a private full bath. There is a tower you can go up to via several staircases to an amazing view overlooking the water and pine trees. The made to order breakfasts were delicious. Lots of beverages available at anytime. We had some nice conversations. They are still remodeling and redecorating some areas from their new owership a year ago. ”

“We loved this place. Beautiful new rooms with full fridge/freezer and k-cup coffee machine. Porch all around the building was so nice to have to breakfast and take-out dinner. The breakfast at this b&b were fantastic. You have a choice of three things the night before and they deliver to your room in the morning. We ate on the porch overlooking the harbor. 2 minute walk to town and shops and restaurants. No car needed once you’re there. Loved it. mark who took care of us was fantastic!”

“This property was beautiful, comfortable and clean, centrally located but out of the main street crowds. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance so it worked out well. We would go back in a minute!! Carol is the ultimate hostess, and serves an amazing breakfast!!!!”

“We had a very pleasant stay for two nights at the Stonehouse Manor late season at Popham Beach. Our room had a beautiful view of the mouth of the Kennebunk River. In the morning we lay in bed watching the sun rise on the autumn colored hillside by Fort Popham through the large bay window. It was quiet. We strolled the expansive grounds with our coffee admiring the botanical variation particularly the huge old copper beech in front of the manor. A homemade breakfast of Rachels blueberry……

“A very unique property out of a Steven King mystery. The bathroom had a wonderful handpainted mural. Couple of miner things, light over bathroom sink did not work and no tissues in room.”

“Our week in Maine at Stonehouse Manor was even better than we had imagined! We found ourselves at a beautiful B&Bin an historic home, close to wonderful Popham Beach, local trails, and an easy drive to Bath.The setting of the house is incredible and rooms and bathrooms are comfortable and updated.Jane’s hospitality brought another level of enjoyment and comfort. She is very knowledgeable about the area, and could advise us about places to explore.Her breakfasts were wonderful. And best of all……
