River Bend House is nestled into the bank where the Yachats River bends and flows into the Pacific Ocean in the quaint village of Yachats. The living room is lined with windows, which provide abundant natural light and amazing views of the water. Relax on the couch and watch the resident bald eagles hunt for fish on the beach or catch a glimpse of the elusive kingfisher without leaving the comfort of home. Spend the day hiking in the miles of lush forest surrounding the area. The house is minutes from Siuslaw National Forest / Cape Perpetua (1.9 miles) and Thor’s Well (2.8 miles), a beautiful natural landmark that appears to drain the entire ocean around it.
Take a 3-minute stroll into "The Villiage" and experience locally owned shops and restaurants, a seasonal farmers market, and fun local events in “downtown” Yachats. Guests can visit Luna Sea Fish House and Ona Restaurant & Lounge for delicious local seafood. Walk to explore tide pools and follow the breathtaking 804 Trail along the coastline. Rent a kayak in town and paddle from the beach up the Yachats River just steps from the house.
In the evenings, hang out on the deck and watch seals play in the waves and the fishing boats cruise by along the coastline bringing in tomorrow’s dinner. Enjoy a movie on the 54" flatscreen or open a bottle of wine and watch the sun set over the ocean.
River Bend House is a charming retreat for those who come to play, explore, or simply recuperate in the beauty of the Oregon coast.

Better Than Expected

Communication and booking process was smooth. Nikki was very responsive. The house was even better than we expected & beautifully appointed! Despite being so close to Hwy 101, one didn’t really hear the traffic noise when inside. The deck was our favorite place besides the living room with the great bank of windows overlooking a stunning view. We also loved being able to walk into town and enjoyed a delicious dinner at Ona! Beach access was easy as well.Beds were very comfortable and super fast WiFi was a big plus. Hope to stay here again, for sure!

Beautiful home and setting

We all had a wonderful time here. The setting was amazing. You could sit for hours just watching the ocean. The home was extremely organized and clean. It’s a shoeless home, which is normal for us as we don’t wear shoes in our home either. They provided slippers. The only issue we had was the upstairs bathroom sink seemed to not drain well. I’m sure after my writing this that issue will be resolved. We wouldn’t hesitate coming back again.

Spectacular location and house

The view from this house is spectacular - you could sit and watch the show on the beach all day (birds, tides, waves, kayakers, kids, dogs, people...) and the house itself is a cut above with a fabulous master suite. The kids took over the upstairs and had a great time. Nice separation of quarters. I appreciate that the house is obviously cared for with the intention of facilitating an easy and comfortable stay.

We loved the house, it worked well for a group of 5. Plenty of living space to relax and dine in. The house is very comfortable with amazing views. Also had great weather, which allowed us to sit outside and watch the tides and sunsets. 2 of our guests are from Arizona and didn't want to leave.

This house is located close to the business area of Yachats so easy to find places to dine and shop. Also, close to a nice long walk the other direction. Loved watching the early morning and early evening action on the beach in front of the house--lots of dogs having a great time!

Comfy stay in Yachats

The house is clean and nicely furnished. The view and location superb! Short walking distance from town and the beach while being situated on the river. Despite being next hwy 101, it wasn't too loud on a holiday weekend. The turn into the neighborhood is abruptly situated on a corner next to the bridge on the pedestrian side of the street. Easy to miss and a little challenging with traffic at times. Very minor inconvenience.

Wonderful destination on the beach and river!

We had a great time at Riverbend. The home was well equipped and the location was just a short walk to town and beach access. We would probably choose a place with less road noise in the future as this location is directly on the 101 but it might be a gem for another family. It has 3 distinct living spaces which was awesome and could work perfectly for 2 couples with kids.

Christmas dream

We spent our first Christmas with our baby in Yachats. We traveled from Arizona and our Oregon family joined us.What an amazing location , views and beautiful home. My dad grew up going to Depot Bay for Christmas and he was elated to spend his first Christmas as a grandpa at the beach. The home was beautiful, comfortable and equipped with anything we might need. Our entire family was comfortable during our stay. We had such a special Christmas.

Mesmerizing view and wonderful town

We very much enjoyed our stay. The access to the ocean and calm waters of the river emptying into the cove was just wonderful! House was fully stocked (loved there so many towels and comfy bedding) and was expertly cleaned when we arrived. Check-in was simple and contactless, and communication with the organizer was perfect! Highly recommend!!

Such a nice place!

The only drawback with my stay was that it wasn't long enough! I took my nephews from Alabama on a small PNW tour and Yachats was one of the stops. We stayed in this house for two nights and it was wonderful! The view from the living area is so beautiful. We were treated to great sunsets and we loved watching people walk and play fetch with their dogs on the beach. There were three of us and it was really nice to each have our own bathroom and bedroom. The house was clean, very close to all the restaurants in Yachats, and in a great location from which to explore the central Oregon coast. I would definitely stay here again.

Magical place - we will be back

We absolutely loved this house, this location, and the host. The house is lovely and well appointed, with everything you could need, including poo pourri with every throne! We had the pleasure of staying in the master bedroom, but the other rooms were nice as well. The master bathroom has a real Jacuzzi tub and we enjoyed that immensely. The living space was delightful and comfortable and the view was outstanding. We loved the deck and utilized it much, including the grill. It was nice to have good wine glasses and dinnerware. I would absolutely stay here again. I hope to in the near future. The rules were reasonable, too.
