A business hotel about 5 mins away from one of the Yokohama Station exits. Interestingly you enter and take the elevator up to the lobby. We got a three twin bed room for a family of four, including two children ages 7 and 5. Even being a typical Japanese business room we felt it was a nice size. The bathroom area is separate and includes a traditional Japanese bath of a sit down wash and tub combo and toilet being in a separate room. Nice amenities including tea, coffee, and hygiene items. There were washing machines in case you need to do them with statuses you can check from the TV. A discounted breakfast brunch at the restaurant next door, including a cheaper rate for children was nice. And lots of options to eat in the area and shop too being close to a major train station. All in all, a great place that I would recommend if you want to stay near the station.

This property was conveniently located next to the Yokohama train station and several malls. There were many places to eat nearby and easily accessible. Our hotel room was very clean and tidy. The room was a little small and sometimes difficult to maneuver around with our luggage, but it was manageable.

First off, I would definitely recommend this hotel. The hotel was built in 2018, but it definitely seemed to be a fairly new hotel. It was well kept to say the least. The room size was great for 2 adults and 1 kid. It has a large bathroom, which is easier with the kid. It is somewhat near the Yokohama station. It took a little explore to walk from the station as there was some road work around the area that we hesitate to cross with the luggage. After that, we can find everything nearby easily. We felt very welcomed when we checked-in. There was even a little pack of kids vanity including kid slippers, brush, and etc. Lot of local restaurant, grocery store, and other amenities nearby. They even offered umbrella for free for the rainiest day. It was an excellent stay.

The Richmond Hotel is so conveniently located close to the Yokohama Station. The staff were so kind, and the check-in, check-out process were very easy and fast. I would definitely stay here again.

Great service and excellent staff, very helpful and happy to help. When we needed a dentist for an emergency, they called around for an available, and got us a taxi to take us to the dentist.

Home away from home
This is where I stay when visiting Tokyo, period. It is so perfect and the convenience of being half-a-block from the Yokohama station is worth an extra few minutes on a train to get here. The station and immediate surroundings for shopping and food are a treat in every way.

Location is good, just a few minutes walk from Yokohama Station. Many eateries and convenience stores around. Hotel staff are polite and helpful. We arrived early and was unable to check-in yet. When we returned later to check-in our room was ready and our luggages all transported right up to our room.

My experience at Richmond to share
How many times do you have to check in if you book few consecutive nights. The answer from Richmond Hotel was once daily!! I booked a late 9pm check in room but arrived early. I'm asked to pay 1000yen per day to check in earlier. If I didn't pay, I have to check out at 11am and check in again at 9pm everyday. I'm shocked. I'm a business traveller and haven't heard of such policy in anywhere on earth. I reconfirmed with the front desk staff and she said "Yes, check in and check out again everyday". I did rise my voice and said "It is ridiculous! I can pay but I don't think I will choice your hotel again". Suddenly, another staff jumped in and said, "If you are not happy, go to other hotels". Second shock!! I'm asked by a Richmond Hotel's staff to leave the hotel. Later I found out she's the Front Desk Manager named Ilina, a Caucasian face. During Corona Viral outbreak, how could a single woman leave and go to other hotel! I'm a Chinese, I suspected she discriminated me and wanted to kick me out from her hotel. An extremely bad experience!!

Room and hotel overall were in exceptional condition. Front desk staff were super helpful and friendly. Great part of the city from which it was easy to shop, find restaurants and use public transit.
