"Safari House had plenty of space for our family of five. While not in the heart of Stone Town, it wasn't a far walk (10 min) to get there. Romaine, our host, was quite accommodating. The power and water shut off in the morning and he was over immediately to fix it (we didn't realize it was on a timer and was an easy fix). He also allowed us to store our luggage there after checkout time while we went out for a bit before our flight home. "

"Because we were only stopping for 2 nights we weren't too particular as to the room so chose the cheapest option but in retrospect we should have picked one next to the pool. We were in an annexe a 20meters away and it was a small room, though it did provide an effective ac unit, tea and coffee facilities, hit shower, clean towels both days, mosquito net, and it was clean and well presented. "This is the absolute best place for those looking for inexpensive stays.The staff was very nice, as were the other guest. It was very clean. No dirt, bugs, spiderwibs or anything else. Great location. 100m from the beach; 150m from Summer Beach restaurant, which has nice vibes, comfy chairs, a pool and wifi. The wifi in the hotel was the only issue, as it didnt work when got back in the evening, but for the price ($23USD), it's the best value i've stayed at anywhere around the world. "

"We only stayed one night, but really enjoyed it and wish we had more nights here. It recently opened so the areas are in good condition and nice lounge areas with amazing view. The beds were comfortable. We only got to try the «buffet» for lunch which was quite nice. Not that many guests for now which I liked."

"The Mora is set in beautifully manicured gardens a few yards from a lovely white sandy beach. Our room was nice and quiet, always clean and well looked after. We tended to use the pool area mostly during the day - which was lovely and comfortable with a great drinks service. Food was good and varied throughout our stay - visit the Jikan for a premium sushi experience - excellent. The most impressive thing for us was the Staff who were always so polite and happy and helpful every single day - they all made us feel very welcome. "

"The property itself is very nice and well kept. The staff were also great! The pool is nice but a little deep at 1.4m but I’m just short. They do need to do a better job of food safety and covering food from flies. If I didn’t make it right at buffet opening, everything was covered in bugs! Also it wasn’t clear enough that this was a no alcohol resort when booking (I don’t drink that much anyways) and I understand it’s Ramadan but other resorts still had activities and entertainment, this one was SILENT. "
