"This was a really cool place to stay. Han was a terrific host, very welcoming and accommodating. He met us at the end of his little road and even carried my suitcase to the boat. Han acclimated us to the boat, explaining where everything was, and how to take care of the boat. He had flowers throughout the space, and had some beverages in the upstairs refrigerator. "We cannot say enough about how FANTASTIC this property is. Perfectly located near everything, yet in a quiet neighborhood; Albert's houseboat was absolutely one of our favorite aspects of our trip. "I stayed with 2 of my friends in this cute little boat. We had an amazing time where it was walking distance from the centre. Although there is no running water the host was very friendly and accomodate for us and always made sure we had what we needed. Definitely recommend if you want to stay on an affordable boat in the canals of Amsterdam!!"

On the other hand, it is very tattered, dated, rickety and an electrical nightmare. Extension cords and hidden switches everywhere and very dimly lit. Floors covered with throw rugs that all overlap; the walls and ceilings covered with fabric that has been stapled on. And, used toilet paper cannot be flushed down the toilet. "Such a great location. Close to everything and quiet which was exactly what we were looking for! Host was wonderfully accommodating which we really appreciated! Only very very minor complaints were the water didn’t get hot enough to utilize the bath, (I like scalding hot baths!) and the internet was in and out a bit. Everything else was amazing!
