I stay here often and think it's the best option in NYC. Love the location. Team always helpful. Wonderful bar. Rooms are good and comfortable. They do need to do something about the painfully slow elevator situation though.

Excellent hotel steps from Fifth Avenue. Beautiful renovation of an iconic hotel. The hotel also features a Felice restaurant onsite serving lunch and dinner.
Staff was very helpful and gracious. Any issues were promptly handled. Only issues for me were the AC system functionality (probably needs some explanation in advance to highlight that the AC detects motion) and the TV (seems to only feature Roku programming. I would have preferred Spectrum).
Lastly for awareness the hotel doesn’t have a doorman. The doors to enter are ornate and heavy. The property should reconsider this when people are pulling up in cabs with luggage.

The check in staff was excellent. Even though we were early for check in - they were able to give us (1) of our (3) rooms immediately. It allowed us to avoid checking bags with the bell desk. A member of our party also utilizes a mobility scooter, and they retrieved it quickly from the bell desk and was it available for his use immediately.
The rooms were spacious by NYC standards, and the room was well appointed and very clean. The location was perfect. Very close to Times Square and the Theaters, but a block off. So less crowds, lights and noise.
I will definitely consider staying at this property again on future NYC visits.
