Quintana Roo Kid friendly Holidays

Rooms are dated and old. AC could not keep up with the heat and humidity. It wasn't to bad but not great. The food and was okay at the buffet, not great. They never changed the menu. The elevator has no AC. Would I stay here again? No.

The staff was nice. Some just need to smile more often especially in restaurants. Food could be better. There were only a few restaurants you could go to and not all are open every day. Overall, I’d give it 3.5 to 5 stars.

Resort and property overall was very nice, well maintained, we enjoyed the time there, room was clean, spacious bed and pillows comfortable, food and service was excellent, best drinks were in the lobby and sport bar, however the drinks at pool for adults only were not at the same level than the other ones, we did not like the smell of the amenities in the room. We liked there, and hopefully can come back soon.

They upgrade our room looking at the back of our resort where they power wash their cooking trays.

Visited May, 2026. This property is well maintained, the hotel grounds is clean, likewise, my room was clean with good amenities, I stayed in building C and had a partial sea view. The pools are well maintained and kids friendly. The staff is pleasant and helpful. Easy access to public transport and convenience stores are a couple minutes walk away. The food and drink were ample, the restaurant staff was very attentive and there was a wide variety of food, the taste was in the better side, I liked Fasano restaurant, the Italian restaurant was okay, but for me the Italian food had a little too much pepper, it was Italian with a Mexican twist, the hotel is on the beach, but the sargassum seaweed hinders the beach experience, overall I will stay here again, its good value for money and very kids friendly, its a good family spot

The staff at Villa del Palmar was absolutely amazing, respectful, nice and super helpful. We especially enjoyed interacting with Emmanuel at Capricho's restaurant. He was wonderful.

The hotel is really good — great location, good food, and a very friendly staff. The room was clean and always well organized, and they did everything they could to make my stay as comfortable as possible.

The resort itself is very nice. Pools and property kept very clean, staff very attentive and the food, especially at the restaurants was excellent. I had an ocean front room in the center section; very nice. Had to be moved 2 times during a 4 night stay. Room was very humid but thought AC turned up. AC would not cool, stayed very humid. Thermostat was also broken. Female mgr saw it flash on/off on its own & temp changed! Had to move. Some rooms have an AC system that needs more coolant added or the coils may need cleaned. Sheets, loveseat, lamp shade over table and part of the floor had visible moisture you could see and feel. Fortunately concierge, Allen, was outstanding with helping me through the issues. Rooms 4009 and 5010 both. He also helped with getting maintenance to fix the shower handle in room 5010. Handle would not turn far enough to allow cold water to mix. Allen took pics and saw everything I mentioned first hand. I have no intention on 'trashing' the resort on social media in any way but the AC issue was really bad and the cleaning crew needs to be more educated on looking for these issues and reporting problems. If they are reporting issues, shame on management for not doing their job. Spending 1 night in room 4009 and 2 nights in room 5010 was quite over bearing and uncomfortable, AC issues. Draining the AC pan in room 5010 did not help. Had to move again. couldn't take it anymore with the humidity. Sheets very damp, floor wet! Again, not good!

Everything was nice and pretty l. The food needs some updating. The food pretty much is the same variety for all 3 courses. I will 7 of 10

The hotel is great, super clean, greats pools, good food, staff are friendly. I will definitely come back

Great place to stay, enjoy food, drinks and pools. Activities were a plus
