"If you want location and convenience, choose APEX Grassmarket! An amazing stay after a long journey from Sydney. A castle room with the most brilliant view and we wanted for nothing. The room was clean and our stay was easy on the 4th floor. We parked in the carpark with any issues and we highly recommend for convenience, location, access, price and service!"

"Great property, my only complaint is that there is no food options after 9 or 10 pm. We were a late arrival and while we could order food via Uber eats, the property would not let us eat it in the bar which was still open. Seems like a loss revenue opportunity for beverages. "

"Property was in a great location. Only thing I would say is that hotel restaurant needs better menu selection and to actually have the items that are on the menu. "

"I enjoyed my 2 night stay. Comfortable room and comfortable bed. Staff generally good. Dining facilities generally good. Service good. Nearby facilities enjoyable and convenient. With swimming pool/sauna steam/gyms etc may make a vacation, though with limited stay duration such as mine, this would not be easily achieved on customer end. Countryside nearby wonderful."

"We had a quick overnight stay to break up a long journey and booked here so we could explore the area. In particular the Kelpies which according to Expedia is a short walk from the hotel. This isn’t true. It’s over an hour to walk and about 20 minutes in the car. Lovely hotel, superb big bed which was very comfortable. Staff very nice and dining options were good. "

"Overall I’ll say it was a nice stay! Everything was super close and the are was incredibly nice. In regards to the room, I was on the lower ground level - there were times where it would be incredibly noisy. I will op for upper levels next time. "
