“Hotel is lovely, clean and comfortable enjoyed my stay . Only grumble is as a gold member at hotels.com none of the upgrades or benefits seem to happen. Beginning to feel its a con . But that is not the hotel at all , really enjoyed it. ”

“The hotel was excellent, the room was spotlessly clean and the bed was nice and big. They have an essence spray as you walk into reception that weirdly just makes the whole place feel inviting. We stayed for two nights to go to a local club and we did a Spa day at the hotel's Y Spa on the Saturday which was brilliant.”

“Located just off the motorway and halfway on our journey, plenty of parking, looks very much like it used to be a premier inn, so needless to say comfortable bed, nice clean room, if we had to really nit pick and find fault, there was no extractor fan in the bathroom, or at least not working if the was one, 1st world problems! Despite being very close to the motorway and being able to hear traffic outside, once in the room, you couldn't hear a thing, this may be different in the heat of summer……

“My start of journey train was cancelled so 2 hours later than anticipated arriving at the hotel. However the reception staff were understanding, kind and welcoming when I did arrive. My room was very comfortable and clean with a good bed and good bathroom. Great selection of choices to eat at breakfast. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when in the area. ”

“The hotel is situated next to a nature reserve , with a spa, and wellness centre. A very good location. However I found the room to have a very strong smell of damp, there was a lot of dust on top of the curtains, and lamp shades. When closing the curtains the dust fell down and the curtains were stuck along the curtain pole, I’m not sure if the room is used often enough to be thoroughly cleaned each time as it felt very damp as though it was cleaned a while ago and left. “Charming village location when I booked I thought we were in st Ives town but glad we were in Houghton as did a lovely circular walk to st Ives from here. Full of character this pub was cosy and welcoming. Great breakfast too.”

“We have stayed here a few times now as it is convenient for family visits. The breakfast is really good. The rooms are comfortable and warm (last days of December!). Over the years, the management has invested in the site and it now has a gym, which we could have used if we had known about it. Definitely planning on return visits!”
