「Nicely designed hotel. Comfy bed and spacious room. 」

「Good: The hotel is well located and impressive in its public areas. All the staff are friendly and polite The breakfast is very good Not so good: The room itself was not too impressive. The room was stuffy, safe didn’t work, and the shower was a trickle. Overall location 10 out of 10 so if you are out and about exploring York all day and arriving/departing by train it would be good choice. If you want to relax in your room then I would recommend a different room category or another hotel. 」

「Beautiful hotel and very nice bathroom, bed was comfortable. Quiet environment and around 20 mins walk to city centre. Only thing is we have big luggage but there is no lift.」

「Building and rooms a little tired. No air conditioning and when asked receiption about the loud banging noise in the air circulation unit was just told to turn it off! Room didn’t have the water that should have been provided as part of the room, however when questioned this was provided without question. Cleaner never came but again reception sorted for us. 「We have been here many times over the last 20yr . I belive you get what you pay for. The staff are nice but you need to ring for sevice as desk is not manned. The rooms are dated but clean beds are comfy. We got a double double there qas plenty of room maybe a few chairs would have been nice. Last time we went was a few yr ago and we had the use of the pool this is no longer available. Parking is limited and some times not the best if customers deside to block you in but it is free.
