“It was really difficult to unlock and open the doors, the locks were loose and the door handles were coming off. When we arrived and went into the bathroom there was a roll of toilet paper with poop on it. I went out to the hall and was able to find an open closet with toilet paper, but that was really gross to come into a room and see that. The television in one of our rooms did not work. The toilet in the other room would not flush. There was two minutes of warm water in the shower before……

“A step-back-in-time and off-the-beaten-path small hotel with all the quintessential character, charm, and quality service you could hope for. The cooked-to-order breakfast was included in our stay and very tasty. Comfortable bed and great shower. This place is truly memorable in every way.”

“This place was so lovely. The location was great and the home was comfortable and clean.”

“Ended up not being able to visit and they refused to refund any of the money, even though they had a weak notice that we were not going to be able to attend. Horrible people to deal with extremely rude. Do not recommend.”

“Great”

“Excellent hostel! I stayed in the Court - I’m a light sleeper and even with earplugs, I woke often as people were coming and going at all hours of the night. Disturbances would likely be less in the other rooms. The facilities, social aspect of the hostel and the staff were top notch! They have activities each day to connect you with others. As a solo traveller, it was incredible and more reason to stay in a hostel. Price was great for Edinburgh and the location cannot be beat!”

“My wife and I had a lovely one-night B&B stay at Trossachs Barn & Cabin. The cabin provided a charming and peaceful setting, making it a delightful place for a short break. The breakfast was excellent and a real highlight of our stay. Our host, Tony, was very friendly and helpful, offering lots of useful information about the local area and places to visit. His warm welcome and local knowledge added greatly to the enjoyment of our visit. An added bonus for guests staying in the cabin is access……

“Delightful. The hostess goes out of her way to assist walkers. Little things, like putting transferred luggage into guests’ rooms, mean such a lot at the end of a long day’s walking. Delicious scones on arrival and very nice breakfast. Lots of tips for the West Highland Way.”

“Friendly team, efficient help, everything clean and tidy that make you really enjoy the holiday without any trouble with the hotel staff and facilities. For sure will recommend to friends and will re-visit.”

“Rooms were nice and clean with a nice feel of new and old bits and pieces which we liked. Staff (Calum) family run hotel was lovely very helpful on any knowledge about Callander what to do and see and always had time for a blether. Breakfast was lovely and tasty both mornings, nothing was a problem and went that extra mile to make the stay a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back. 3 Adults in adjoining rooms.”

“Good location. Hotel owner kind and friendly. Room big but old fixtures ”

“We were made to feel very welcome when we arrived. Accommodation was very comfortable & clean. Shower was amazing. We had a room overlooking the river. Great choice at breakfast. Would definitely recommend having the full breakfast.”
