“Check in time is 4 pm. When we arrived at 4:05pm, the cleaning lady was still there. Well, they missed the mark on cleaning. The refrigerator was filthy inside. The first thing we did was clean the refrigerator. There were spider webs in the downstairs bedroom that had to be removed. When we went to cook breakfast the first morning, several of the dishes we pulled from the cabinets has to be washed. There were dried food particles on plates, utensils and pans (and rust on some pans). There were……

“The property was not entirely up to standards. The floor was wavy with a soft spot leading from the living area to the bedroom. Ceilings are low. There was a slight musty smell. I suspect a history of water damage. The couch is very small. The dock was not usable, even though lake was at summer pool. Half of the dock was on shore. The grass hadn’t been mowed in quite some time when we arrived Thursday evening. It did get mowed at some point Friday while we were out. A lot of construction……

The location of the house is fantastic and it was really easy to get to anything we needed for our stay. The house had all of the basic amenities that you need for a short or prolonged stay. The owners were also very prompt to respond to any inquiries. I highly recommend the location for anyone who wants to……

“Southern hospitality at its best! From the snack basket (which was quickly eaten) to the clean and comfortable beds, the entire experience was focused with guests’ comfort in mind. Highly recommend this peaceful place in the rolling hills of Dayton. No water when we were there, but would imagine it would be great fishing off the dock.”
