“No this wasn't a great experience, we had to find the office and locate our keys in the cabin, which was fine. Next we get to our cabin, only one bed, there were two of us both men, the picture showed a loft with a bed above another, we tried to order pizza but they were already closed. Also thought it was odd that there was no TV in the room I understand this is glamping but I still expected more than a small mini fridge and a single queen size bed, one end table and some coat hangers”

“The Utopia River Retreat was just what we needed after 3 nights camping out in Big Bend. The cabin we stayed in (Kickapoo) was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed (cooking utensils, bath towels, linens). The grounds were peaceful and scenic and had a nice swimming pool and volleyball net as well as riverfront access. At this time the river on the property didn't look great for swimming (no deep spits, tree branches, etc), but if you want to swim, Utopia City Park has a deep……

“The drive into the resort was beautiful and very scenic sights not seen often in Texas. The room was cozy and the deer running around at night and sounds of birds singing was so tranquil. The only thing was no cell phone signal but as a plus its a way to get away from technology for some peace and quiet.”

“Pictures and descriptions said had panoramic view. If you wanted to see what was advertised on site you had to drive to owners house and sit there a quarter mile away At die abroken down patio with a dirty mop. Furniture looked like something you find dumped on side of road. Holes in the walls remote control didn’t work. ”

“Not as advertised!Double wide outdated trailer. Clean, hot water and heat fine, quiet setting. Ceiling fans in bedrooms were not usable. My bathroom needed at least shampo and a hairdryer. The nice deck is a .4 mile walk. Nice views of hills but no rocky mountains! Upgrading pillows and bedding would be a plus!We made it work but disappointed. ”

“Very nice accommodations. Ample wildlife that you can sit on the back porch and enjoy. The hummingbirds are spectacular. Would highly recommend this Property to friends and family. ”
