The property is older and still needs some renovation, but the staff — specifically Rory & Pete — were extremely hospitable and helpful. There is no onsite restaurant, but the staff provided great local recommendations that are easily walkable. "With Cruise ships blighting Lerwick, this country hotel overlooking the sea was a good find. a very individual inn, not quirky but functional. Showing it's age just a tad but would certainly say that it is good value for money (includes a cooked breakfast). Great location for visiting the northern islands of Yell and Unst as well as Scalloway and North Mavine. Roads on Shetland, especially the A Roads are well engineered and maintained so you can get everywhere on Mainland in an hour from here if you have hire car."
