"I chose well, the hotel has a fantastic staff (and I would like to thank Daniela in reception for going the extra mile for us), the room was very nice and very clean, the location is great because you have everything around you and the tram took us from the airport straight there, I’m from there we could go to the centre of Edinburgh for £2.80 each. The Ubers are also very cheap. The swimming pool, the steam room and the sauna were really good, the food at the hotel was also pretty good. I do recommend this place, without any need doubt."

"Disappointed with this property. It was a twin room but so small with tiny windows it felt claustrophobic and dingy. "

"We arrived late at night after our flight was cancelled due to the storm. Callum and Alan were on reception and couldnt have been nicer! We mentioned my mum was diabetic and they helped to find out where the closest chemist was and offered fruit etc for supper. They made a stressful time much easier. Thank you so much for your kindness, it was so appreciated. Would definitely recommend ☺ xx"

"We didn’t know what to expect from this hotel but it turned out to be amazing and one the best mid range hotels we have stayed in anywhere. For the price we paid, we found it to be great value. The room was large with 2 double beds. The bathroom had a bath and a very good shower. Often hotel showers are either not that hot or have poor water pressure. This shower was easily as good as my own so big thumbs up. The room was super clean and had all you’d expect plus a few extra touches. At least 4 USB sockets and lots of plug sockets. Not all hotels have thought this out. Far more hot drink sachets than most hotels and a lovely touch, a note to say you can call for fresh milk if UHT is not to your taste. The breakfast was really very good. A set menu to choose from if you wish AND a well stocked buffet with all that you’d expect. Breakfast was included with our room but you can get it for just under £20 if it’s not included. A fair price for what’s on offer. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. Grassmarket is close to all the tourist sights, it has lots of nice pubs and restaurants right there and it’s easy to access public transport from. All in all, a fantastic find and we shall certainly return"

"Great location with an excellent castle view and modern, comfortable rooms. The windows were well soundproofed from outside noise, but there was noticeable noise within the hotel from slamming doors and limited soundproofing between rooms. I did lose power on my last morning, which was frustrating, but the hotel did offer some compensation for the inconvenience. Overall, a solid stay with a few minor drawbacks."
