「Staff lovely, room clean and comfortable, parking easy. BUT… room was close to the corridor fire doors and main doors. Felt like the doors were banging behind our heads every time they closed. Really dreadful night’s sleep meant a super hard day and a difficult drive home the next night. A hotel has one job, a good night’s sleep. 「Lovely pub, friendly staff. We only stayed 1 night but the rooms were very clean and had everything you needed. The breakfast was cooked beautifully and really tasty. We would have had diner there but unfortunately it was the Christmas market on within Tarvin that evening so no food was served other than a stall outside. Free parking for people staying in the pub. Within a 15 min drive into Chester - Wouldn’t hesitate to go back. An enjoyable if not brief visit. 」

Llangollen is a beautiful, friendly town with local shops/no franchises. There are wonderful walks along canals to waterfalls, deserted abbeys. 」
