“Clean and comfortable room with useful amenities like in-room electric kettle and hair dryer. The Breakfast buffet was excellent and staff were consistently polite and accommodating. The young lady who checked us in was personable and exceptionally helpful, particularly in attempting to resolve problems connecting our phones, iPads and laptop to the hotel's WiFi. Clearly though, there was something wrong with the hotel's WiFi hub(s) as we have not experienced difficulty at any of the 6 other……

“I was hoping that they would connect our rooms since I booked them together for our family/kids, but they couldn't accommodate. The bar closed very early for a weekend, just my opinion. And the Kelpies was supposed to be a 15 minute walk as advertised by everyone, but nothing is mentioned about how unsafe it is to walk areas that have no sidewalk. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. The lift was broken, that is why I rated it a four instead of 5, stairs were difficult with my heavy……

“There’s free coffee near the Reception! It’s a great location if you have a car and would like to take the train in Edinburgh and sample many whiskys. A very walkable town.”

“Comfortable stay with a choice of to places to eat. I choose to eat in the less formal restaurant and the food was excellent.”

“Fantastic stay. Stayed many times in a snug pod for business maybe 15 times a year. Tried a cabin for first time because the price was cheaper than normal. Amazing, shame its too expensive to do more often. Only downside was the wifi was hit and miss but overall very good”
