The property is beautiful but I can only give 2 stars after deducting a star for each of the following: Service, started by giving us a cheaper room that we booked, pools are fill with seawater and no cleaned properly, outdoor shower was broken, they couldn’t fix it and ignored our follow ups, they try to inflate our final bill with mini bar items that we didn’t consumed. Location, very sketchy to get to the hotel you have to drive through one of the worst unpaved roads in Cartagena where you can get mugged anytime, the beach is super small and the water smells and dirty like in a Laguna. We tried to relax in the pool in our bungalow but there are hundreds of boats going back and forth all day, local people super aggressive try to rent you jet ski all the time, they even come right in front of your bungalow by water. You are going to be isolated from everything so you can only buy food, drinks or anything you might need from the hotel and their prices are outrageous.

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel. I’ve traveled around the world and stayed at many hotels, but I must say this one truly deserves a 10 out of 10. My only regret is that I stayed for just three days — I really needed a couple more to fully enjoy everything it offers. Everything here is simply excellent: the location, the design, the features, the cleanliness, the sea, and the private saltwater pool — absolutely impeccable. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming — truly lovely people. The food is extraordinary, breakfast is fabulous, and the price is very reasonable for everything you get. The villas are extremely close to each other with little to no visual barriers between them. From the pool of both of our rooms (we requested to change rooms) our neighbors could openly see into our bedroom. If you are looking for a romantic getaway with that special someone hope and pray the villas next to you are empty. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Restaurant on the beach was good with great customer service. The private island looked abandoned with the entire beach flooded with massive amounts of dead algae, it’s like no one cares to even try to keep it clean. This place overall has the potential to be a 10/10, but the lack of privacy kills it. From our “private pool” you can see the workers passing by, neighbors and even see into other villas. It appears they tried to fix this with some vegetation and privacy walls, but the vegetation is half dead and the privacy walls are not complete or are poorly made.

Hotel insuperable en amenidades pero.......

El mejor hotel en relación a sus amenidades, realmente insuperable ante cualquiera de sus vecinos. Pero me siento en la obligación culinaria, de exhortarlos a capacitar o implementar mejoramiento inmediato en la preparación de platos ofrecidos en el restaurante del almuerzo en Isleta y las Guacas en la cena, puesto que carecen absolutamente del sabor caribeño en sus preparaciones, creando así falta de identidad del paladar ante sabores planos que NO generan deleite ni sensación alguna a los comensales. Allá llegan muchos turistas extranjeros que anhelan saborear platos que normalmente no prueban en sus países de residencia. Ustedes disponen de cocinas extraordinarias pero sin sabor en los 2 restaurantes mencionados debido a Chefs del interior del país que no conectan con el sabor caribeño esperado por los comensales, cómo sí lo hizo en mí almuerzo, el restaurante Choco frente a la playa cuando pedí una posta cartagenera de sabor auténtico caribe a través de cocineras propias de la región Bolívar. Disculpen sí les incomodan mis apreciaciones reales, pero a donde viajo siempre valoro la comida como la estadía, y en París, aprendí a no juzgar el delicioso sabor de un plato por su desmotivante apariencia hasta probarlo. En Barcelona, la magia de los sabores reales. En New York, a saborear la cocina de origen de cada país. En Lima, a deleitarme con la fusión de sabores y culturas.

Bucket list location with its treetop villas. Great escape from the day to day, with wonderful staff and a captivating atmosphere at night for dinner. Plus there is a telescope above the restaurant for viewing planets. We saw Jupiter as the telescope is staffed by a knowledgeable team member.

Very romantic and secluded. It is truly one with nature and there were animals wandering around the entire property. The only drawbacks would be how spread out the property is (but that is mitigated by golf cart transportation) and the lack of multiple restaurants which limits the choices of meal choices. I would absolutely recommend it for a 3-4 night vacation!
