“Very neat house and just a few minutes outside of the Sequoia National Park. Host was very communicative and accommodating when we needed to reschedule a couple months before our trip. “The cottage is a very comfortable place to stay, and we were sorry when our 4 days there came to a close. Communication with the property owners is probably the best I have ever experienced. “Stay was great...friendly staff...only complaint is, for us boaters...boat launch and dock needs to be widened,..it's very narrow and makes it tough to put boat in and out...talked to others that had same complaints and said they may not return...also would be nice to have a water spicket in that area a ways after the ramp to hook up a hose and wash off all the muck that collects there at the ramp pulling out the boat..it was rediculously awful...had to go to car wash after to pressure wash it……

"This was the worst tent I've ever stayed in. The quilt was incredibly thin and filthy—essentially a sleeping bag-like blanket, with numerous stains, including a dark red one that looked like blood... disgusting. The blanket was also incredibly dirty and black. It was freezing cold at night. I stayed in my down jacket, curled up in it, unable to fall asleep for ages! The tent had three windows that let in drafts... even with my clothes on, I could still feel the wind on my head... I only managed about three or four hours of light sleep... At 4 a.m., the neighbor's alarm went off... followed by the sound of the bear box door opening... and at 5 a.m., another neighbor's alarm went off... For $182 a night, I'd be better off sleeping in my car!"
