"We stayed at Mandy & Chris's house over the 4th of July with our two kids, and a few other couples. The house was perfect for our group - from being pet friendly, to already being set up with some extra gear for the little ones. The house is 7 minutes outside of downtown Charlevoix in a great location, and has an amazing outdoor porch that protects from any bugs in the evenings. Mandy & Chris were incredibly communicative throughout the whole process and made everything a breeze. We loved our stay, and will absolutely look to stay again the next time we are up north!"

"A picture may be worth a thousand words but a picture is still a picture and can never quite capture the setting. This is certainly the case with this cabin. It is cozy without being claustrophobic and roomy without being sterile. It is comfortable and up to date and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway.The care taken to provide interesting toys and games for younger children was not something we had experienced before. There were also outdoor games which we appreciated and used. We don’t often spend time in the yard of a rental but that was not the case with the cabin. The porches and yard are inviting and not fussy. The neighborhood was very nice and even the neighbors were quite friendly. It was great for evening walks. As beautiful as the Michigan beaches were, having access to the private beach which was only a few blocks away was an asset – one which we made good use of. Oh, if you have an interest in architecture, take note of the walls which are purposely canted in at a slight angle! Finally, upon our return home we received this text from our daughter: "I had the best time in Michigan. Thank you again for planning a trip to such a lovely place! I can’t wait go back.” No doubt the cabin was a big part in creating the “best time”!"

"We had our adult children and young grandchild (8 people) stay here for the week! What an incredible location! The beach, the dock, the well stocked house! Absolutely fabulous! This house was perfect for our family getaway! Loved taking day trips to all the cute towns within 20 minutes. "

"The pond was a highlight. We didn’t anticipate spending so much time sitting around it. Liked how quiet the area was. Front porch was great for coffee and reading. Good distance to town and right on the bike trail."

"My partner and I stayed here because it was close to the tunnel of trees. The host was very easy to contact and was able to provide some recommendations for places in the area. We were also pleasantly surprised by the basket of goodies, such as blankets, s'more sticks, bug spray, etc. We really enjoyed the electronic fireplace that was indoors, in addition to the firepit outside. It provided some nice extra heat and added to the aesthetic. The place was also very clean and had all that we needed. We actually got engaged while on this trip, too! In terms of the "cons," the water pressure in the shower was pretty weak. I can't be too mad at this though given the location. As the booking described, there is a bit of a steep walk to the location, but this was expected. We were going back and forth from the parking to the site as we tried to see the aurora, so my legs were burning toward the end haha. Lastly, the bed wasn't the most comfortable, as I tend to prefer softer beds. The view overlooking the trees was beautiful though. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again! "
