“It is a very tired and outdated hotel. I could never get the outdated door key slot to work and other travelers walking by my room while I was trying to enter made the same comments. The a/c was not thermostat controlled and kept the fan running continuously. Very annoying during the night. After spending one night, I was afraid to try the breakfast. My star rating is very generous for the lousy hotel it is.”

“I booked a king all they had was a full they said both of them cost the same amount and gave me a full although I booked a king online through Expedia. The pool is dirty. They accused me of stealing the towels and smoking in the room refused to give me my deposit back I will never stay here again.”

“The perfect little hideaway for the dog and horse traveler. Beautiful deck for the person to unwind and spacious genced yard for the dog to unwind. Little personal touches in revery room. Host does great communicating. ”

“The camper was adequate; we had a moment of difficulty figuring out the A/C, but then it was fine. It is on the water. It is pet-friendly. The two disappointing things for me were 1) no real lake access as the dock was in poor condition/in disrepair: we could not traverse it. It would have made for a better weekend with the ability to walk out and fish ordit on the dock. 2) there was no awning, no shade to speak of, and it was a very, very hot weekend. Other than that, the stay was okay.”

“This is one of the, if not the best, rental experiences we've ever had. Cory was very accommodating, the place was immaculate, and the back patio and dock by the water were the perfect places to sit and relax. There is a gas station and liquor store across the street that made it easy to grab last minute needs. If we're ever back in town we'll stay here without a second thought. I could not recommend this place enough!”

“The charm of this historic cottage cannot be denied, and the commitment to preservation is commendable. Melissa was responsive as a host. There was a lot of space around the cottage that made it feel private, and a small space fenced in for our dogs. A few things that would have made our stay even better: cleaner cooking pots; real coffee mugs; better instructions for things like the outside light, and space heaters. There was also a lot of noise throughout the night from large trucks and……

“Little weekend getaway one hour from home for MX training. Beautiful pond with lots of fish and sassy beavers. Son and husband fished as much as time would allow. Pet-friendly is a plus for us. We plan on returning in the future.”

“This was a diamond in the rough! We had a last minute trip to Hartsville and Coker College had their graduation at the same time so our normal place we stay was booked solid. We decided to give this location a try and we were very pleased. Excellent check in, very comfortable, very clean, beautiful lakeview. The amenities were just what we needed. We will consider this location the next visit we make to Hartsville.”
