"The staff is wonderful. This property is a quiet enclave next to the busy Sanur traffic, with a great pool, bar and gym. Breakfast was a bit overcrowded and the WiFi quirky at times, but the friendliness of every employee (without fail) made the small problems easy to overlook."

"This is an exceedingly well located, well maintained and stylish property, right in the central area of Sanur, one block back from the beach. We have stayed here twice now, and will return again next year. Both rooms and two bedroom suites, are huge. With only 42 rooms and suites, it is perfect as an intimate and personalised stay. Many excellent restaurants nearby. Staff and service levels are excellent. Highly recommended."

"We had an incredible stay at Sumitra and couldn’t recommend it more highly. Everything was exceptional from the moment we arrived. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was warm, attentive and genuinely outstanding, and we were pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced everything was. The location was perfect for us—peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle, yet only a short bike ride to restaurants, beaches and anything else we wanted to explore. The complimentary bikes were one of the highlights of our stay and made getting around so easy and enjoyable. The spa was another standout. We had some of the best massages we’ve ever experienced, and it was the perfect way to relax during our holiday. We would absolutely stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sumitra to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing stay with exceptional hospitality."

"What an incredible time my wife and I had at The Bali Beach Hotel. Starting with Buffet breakfast. the staff could not do enough to meet all our breakfast needs. Then down to the Olympic sized pool for water aerobics followed by a bite of lunch and afternoon cocktails. Thank you for a spectacular week"

"A resort with serenity, excellent food but most importantly such courteous, polite and super efficient staff- we are regular travellers and can safely we have never seen time being valued as here. Whether it was room service, front desk, luggage move, maintenances, everything was literally within a couple of minutes. This is a large resort and a popular one too so very impressed that they maintain such high standards despite the flow. Breakfast was amazing; with many local and international options. The local in season fruits were fresh and delicious. We had a couple of meals in the room like simple mushroom and truffle pasta; heavenly!!! We were touched by the extra help and genuine smiles each staff offered our disabled son. We were provided with a wheelchair (as soon as we got out of the car!) for the whole duration of 4 nights stay plus offered to take it outside the resort too. Our son was not well on the day of check out so we had to request to stay longer. Another room was arranged for us to move into immediately plus complimentary chicken porridge offered for our unwell son too. A big sincere thank you from the Rahman family to every single staff at front desk, arrival area who received luggage, cleaners, gardeners, spa staff and breakfast staff. Thank you Maya Sanur for making Bali memorable ❤️"
