It was okay, not the worst not the best. Response to any questions etc we had was great!! The cleaning crew needs a little more encouragement. It felt & looked as though they hit the high spots & left. Which of couse made check all the bedsheets etc. Showers were left with hair in them & a large dead bug.

We had to text repeatedly to get our wrist bands. As we sat around waiting for them (as signs everywhere stressed wearing the bands on grounds), we noticed BROKEN TILES hidden by throw rug that slips when walked on.most lamps/light had missing or burnt out bulbs. Kitchen had minimal mismatched well-used dishes/utensils.This unit is not how it was represented in vrbo pics. Add to that the constant cigarette smoke on the balcony and it appears that we are in a unit where the owners don't care and haven't for a long time and that our first experience at jade east will be our last.

The location and building property was great. The pool and beach were perfect. Our condo however definitely needed repairs. We had a one year old who spends his time crawling or walking around furniture. He was filthy after a short time on the floor. The entry into one of the bedrooms has several cracked/busted loose tiles that the solution was to put a rug on top which isn’t great with a one year old. We reached out to Modern Beach rentals who quickly sent a cleaning crew up to clean the floors again which really didn’t do much. I also mopped the floors myself to try and make them cleaner. It’s really not the fault of the rental company but more the owners. This unit needs some major repairs. The closet doors would not close, the storage container when you entered the condo had two broken legs so it sat lopsided. We had a broom but no dust pan? All the things one notices immediately upon entry. The mattress in the master bedroom is on plywood of which you saw when you turned the bed down. I hate to sound so critical but we have stayed several places in Destin all right along where Jade East is and haven’t encountered so many issues. Would we stay there again, maybe but would certainly look more closely at all the units for cleanliness and details. We love coming to Destin and return every winter for several weeks it’s our happy place.
