Great location in cozy apartment!

We loved staying at this apartment in Downtown Durango! It was super cozy during the cold weather and easy to access. Great kitchen space for guests who love to cook! We will definitely be staying here again.

We were very pleased with it, and the location can't be beat.We did encounter a problem, however. We were given the incorrect code for the elevator and got stuck in the elevator until a resident pushed the button from the outside and opened the door. He gave us the correct code. Also,we were not given a code to open the apartment door, but with a lucky guess we got it unlocked. We were not able to get the LR and one BR TV to work.We highly recommend this apartment - just be sure the mgt. gives you the correct codes for elevator and apartment.

Wonderful accomodations

We very much enjoyed our stay at Mears House. The condo was very nicely layed out, easy to get to, secure and within walking distance to downtown for shopping and the train.

Durango stay

Great location and excellent communication from property management. The apartment was spotless and well stocked. Our elderly mother found it difficult to get into the high bed in the small bedroom which was made more difficult by the nearest light being too far away from the bed, so it would have been nice to have a small lamp on the bedside table so she didn’t have to climb in the dark. Besides the bed issue, our stay was great!

Not so happy

It also started with the code to get in the unit. It was not complete. We were fortunate to run into the cleaning service and they explained what needed to be done. Next the smoke detector on the second night keep on beeping. Call maintenance and left a message. No response. Call again the next day and it was taken care of. Overall I would not recommend this to family or friends.

Great getaway in an awesome location.

Great property and the dedicated covered parking is awesome! Only reason for 4 stars is the upstairs neighbors were loud when walking around and their kid ran laps back and forth from 6am untill 11pm (while we were inside)

Perfect location

We really appreciated being so close to Main Street, the train, and our fav restaurants. The property manager was amazing with great communication and kindness. The place was very clean and had all the right things in the kitchen too cook.

Not worth the aggravation

The experience of staying at this unit was severely damaged by property manager using e-mail and text communication instead of phone to resolve security issues with both the condo and its parking garage. That combined with multiple access codes and keypads located where lighting is inadequate was not pleasant. One miniature ice cube tray, really? Very poor! Are unable to recommend VRC.

I Would Definitely Stay Here Again

Beautiful clean property in a great location. We absolutely enjoyed our stay here and will be renting it again if we come back to the area. The only thing I would warn against is that the parking is a little tight so I wouldn’t recommend bringing a large vehicle.
