"Location excellent, staff were lovely and very helpful, pool area great, beach beds shaded under coconut palms. Sea had a lot of weed but still fine for swimming. Food was good and they set up the dinner dining area in different locations including twice on the beach which was magical. "

"A smaller hotel but with provided a great experience. The staff were outstanding from reception to the bar. The rooms were very cool (we had a family room) and large, clean and very well appointed. The restaurant always looked good with many options enough to satisfy kids too. The kids also loved the pool & table tennis games room. The Dive centre in the hotel was also excellent and one of the reasons we chose this hotel. It all worked well. Just over an hour from the airport but plenty stuff...
"Amazing property. Secluded, with incredible views. With only 17 bungalows, if you want privacy and tranquility this is your place. The food is delicious, the staff accommodating (the dining staff extended lunch time by an hour just to accommodate us). Eclectically cool decor. Affordable luxury... highly recommend"

"I am a solo female traveller. Zanzibar House is an excellent property in so many ways. The staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are a delight to be in, with lots of comfortable places to sit and read or contemplate the beauty of the area.
I did not use the pool and I am sure it would be lovely.
At night time I had an evening meal which was tasty and they accommodated my dietary requirements very well. I am gluten intolerant. I recommend this hotel if you like quiet and beauty filled...
"The property is about 1hr 30mins from Zanzibar town, however is spacious and great place to relax. They have a private beach and the water is turquoise and white sand. Staff are multilingual and very professional and friendly. Alex, Abdul, Nasri and the whole team made our stay worthwhile and the all inclusive choice make the difference. "This is my second time staying at Meliá, and it won’t be my last. It’s not only because the hotel and grounds are beautiful. It’s the staff, they are exceptional, they’re the most friendly, smiley, professional and provide amazing service. Every room is cleaned twice a day and I’ve left valuables lying around and everything has always been safe.
My only complaint this time was that there was no working light in the shower but other than that everything was 10/10."

"Quite far to get to from Stonetown but a stunning location. It’s boutique hotel so not the facilities of a mega resort but the local friendly staff arranged a couple of excellent things for me and I really enjoyed the intimate atmosphere. Great food too with sea views. I also enjoyed a massaged in a small hut by the sea so could hear the surf. "
