「Beautiful holiday house, nicely decorated. Cute village with quite some options for dinner and tea.
Village shop/post office is nice for the basic groceries. really liked the delicatessen shop down the street. Beach at 5 minute walk. Also parking was easy」

「As there were no directions on how to locate the property it to us over 3 hours the arrive at the front door which was locked and we did not have the code to the key safe. When we finally got in we were put of by the flooring in the small hallway it was not stuck down at all. when we went into the bathroom we were disgusted with filthy state of the shower curtain. The TV took some understanding on how to get to work, you had to unplug the mains lead then plug it back in again」

「Owner Amanda very welcoming. Property updated to a good standard. great kitchen. All rooms very clean. Beds comfy although slightly small doubles. Advertised to sleep six but only sleeps 5. Great walks around the surrounding area lovely place to visit. Would definitely go back. Property has everything you need.」

「First time in Newbiggin and enjoyed it, the town has plenty of resources- a corner shop just round the corner and pubs, takeaways, cafes and a couple of restaurants, a small craft ale bar too. There’s going to be a new bar/café opening any day now just over the road down on the beach which will be handy (and as it’s low down shouldn’t cause any problems).

The worst hotel stay in the entire trip
"Extremely poor service and stay. We were given a smaller room than we had asked for (images do not match the actual state of the room), and the air conditioner is broken; we were provided with fans but we do not have proper ventilation in our room, causing the room to be very hot and stuffy, and after taking a shower the room becomes very damp. Television does not work, and the fans aren't very good. There are also insect stains on the bedding. Service is misleading, we were told that our check out was at noon however we were urged to leave as soon as 11am came by, asking to charge us for overstaying in the hotel. Our belongings were held at the lobby as well because of this, and the staff were reluctant to return our belongings.
Extremely disappointed at the service and conditions of the hotel, will not recommend it to anyone."
