“Friendly staff Good breakfast Stairs may be a problem if elderly .Found shower cubicle to be difficult to get in and out also no non slip surface in shower which made it a bit dangerous getting out”

“We had a fantastic stay at The Family Tree. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was lovely, clean and quiet. And the breakfast was amazing! Just a few minutes’ drive from the Tramway Museum, or a lovely 40-minute walk along the canal to the Hurt Arms in Ambergate. In the end, we were sorry that we were only staying the one night; wish we could have stayed longer. We will absolutely stay here again the next time we’re in Derbyshire!”

“The property was in the least to say grubby and I shudder to think what the hotel inspector with white gloves on the tv would make of the hotel The front of house personal wore the same clothes for the duration of our stay and everything she did seemed to be an effort”

“Lovely quite b&b in the country, Sarah our hostess was very pleasant. Great night sleep in a very comfortable bed, lovely shower room. Morning breakfast was really good and a great choice wether, hot or cold, Again Sarah was very nice. Will definitely stay abit longer next year. Would highly recommend.”

“Stunning rural location. Very peaceful. Really clean room and hotel. Reception wasn’t open so had to go to the bar to check in. This wouldn’t have been a problem if there hadn’t have been a huge queue of people waiting to order food and drinks. One young member of staff, in a very busy bar/restaurant, having to deal with it all. That said, he was lovely and very helpful. It’s the only criticism. This is a great hotel. Fantastic views from the outside seating area. Would definitely return.……
