“Loved old architecture”

“Very helpful staff, nice spacioys room with comfy bed. Had lovely meal and tasty breakast (had to pre-order).”

“There were unfortunately several issues with the property. There was no running water in the bathroom sink. The room was unbearably hot, with no fan or any methods of cooling. When we opened a window for ventilation, the noise from the busy street (not evident in any photos!) kept us awake. The room we booked pictured a double bed, but when we checked in there were two single beds. Worst of all, I woke up covered in bug bites! When we tried to find someone to tell them we were checking out……

“Due to age of building plus isolation it had some unique qualities but the staff were all lovely and the stay was enjoyable.”

“The 5-night stay was overall comfortable, although there was an issue with controlling the temperature of the hot water shower. It would occasionally become scalding during showers. It would also be wonderful if breakfast could include some fruit. Other than these minor points, it was a delightful stay. When we arrived in the late afternoon, the reception gentleman kindly helped my daughter and me carry our luggage to the room on the 2nd floor.”

“Stayed here Mon-Fri. My initial opinion of this place was very good. Staff were very friendly and appeared efficient. Check-in was easy. Rooms are very good with a ceiling fan and additional tower fan in the room which was helpful during the recent spell of hot weather. Breakfast was good. Couldn’t connect my laptop to their wifi so had to use mobile network. Food in the restaurant was good and delivered piping hot but service is slow and food is a bit pricey. “We had a large family gathering at the hotel on a Sunday including dinner and an overnight stay, we had dinner in the bar which had a nice atmosphere, The menu was limited with very little vegetarian and vegan options, my wife chose the vegetarian option which was a cauliflower steak which was very small and overpriced, I had the pork tenderloin Sunday roast which was very poor, the meat had string tied around it, the vegetables were very watery and the stuffing ball was rock hard, very……
