「We enjoyed our stay at the Melrose Mansion. We found a “period” property, that had about 14 rooms, located one block from the end of Bourbon Street. We felt safe walking to and from the property, and there were several restaurants within 1 or 2 blocks. The room was clean, quiet and a nice place to retreat. Though we didn’t use the pool, it looked inviting. I would stay here again.」

However, upon checking into this hotel, the rooms were extremely old, the lighting was uncomfortable, giving the feeling of being in an operating room. The photos looked great, but the reality was vastly different, with worn-out sofas. Very disappointed. This hotel doesn't even come close to a 4-star standard, and staying here was very unpleasant. Eventually left a day early and switched to another hotel.」
