“The hotel was good for one night - a place to rest your head. It is not somewhere that I would have booked for a longer stay. It was an okay experience.”

“Abbiamo soggiornato 3 notti in questo hotel, a circa 25 minuti da Inverness. La posizione è comoda sia per andare verso nord, sia per scendere verso il lago Loch Ness, e il paesino in sé è abbastanza servito. Il prezzo è ottimo, ma siamo rimasti un po’ delusi dalla struttura in sé una volta arrivati. Se non avete pretese e’ un ottimo punto di appoggio, ma l’aspetto generale e gli arredi risultano piuttosto vecchi e fatiscenti. La nostra camera era spaziosa, il bagno era basico, piccolino ma……

“Managed to book the last room available a twin with plenty of room and comfortable beds. Said own bathroom but was across the public hallway. At check in was not advised to turn power to bathroom was a switch outside in public hallway. Not great when already stripped off. Eventually worked it out. Breakfast was great with outlook over country side.”

“Impressive ! Phone line reachable & able to help bçs my flight delay 9hrs. Driving 270Km, I was 5min late, staff no complaint even they said wait me till 11:00pm ! Spaces room. Grand hotel inside both paintings, furniture with good match. Like stay at a small castle. Traditional Scottish restaurant, cosy, good food. Friendly greeting staffs. Big laund in front ... so good!”

“I pre-booked the hotel weeks before I traveled. The website said that the retreat house had restaurants, lounge, and bar amenities that I thought would be useful for my stay. The restaurant was not opened when we arrived. The bar//lounge had no staff. We asked the only employee we ever saw when the restaurant would be open and she said it’s only open for breakfast. We came downstairs in the morning at 8:30. The sign on the dining room said that breakfast was served at eight to ten. No one to be……

“The hotel has no staff, the sister hotel down the road has two well meaning but incapable staff members. The rooms have no climate control, no water in any bathroom in the building. And some rooms have no power. The line for refunds extended out of the office. I was lucky I was able to find another place to stay. If it was advertised as no power, no water property I could see maybe paying a few pounds to stay here. It seems to me like the property owner is charging as much as they can without……

“The Inn is easy to find with ample parking. My concerns centred on strong, damp like smelly in my room. Curtains that couldn't be closed properly. With the main door not being locked at night, security was very poor. I was woken by a disturbance outside my door during the night it was very unsettling. All these issues might have been easier to raise with staff had they been approachable. It took the duration of the trip for the person at reception to smile and be friendly. Would definitely not……

“We were Not !! Told we were in a chalet cottage, it didn't advertise cottage either it was dark dingy and uncomfortable. The continued breakfast was stale croissants and the orange juice the bottle was black. There were no 24hr staff either ”
