「The staff were friendly and helpful. The choice for an evening meal was varied and reasonably priced. The chicken fajitas were excellent. The breakfast was also good value. The Inn is perfectly located for those visiting the Ythan Estuary for bird and/or seal watching. Will stay again when in the area.」

「Stayed in the apartment at the rear of the property. What a great self contained area this was. Room was spotless and very well maintained. All staff from check in, bar and at breakfast were exceptional. Breakfast was included and was great and they are happy to adjust anything on the menu to suit. We had our dog with us and she was most welcome in the hotel too for a £10 a night supplement.」

「Perfect place to stay with a dog. The mattress could do with an upgrade but otherwise very comfortable although there was an overwhelming smell of cleaning products in the accommodation. Food is excellent. 」

「Best kept secret in Scotland. Karolyn and Chris were fantastic hosts. We spent 1 night here but wish we had spent the other 9 nights here as well. Beautiful property and most comfortable bedding I’ve had outside my own home (including 4-star hotels). The breakfast was 5-star worthy. Worth the lodging price alone!! I told them they should charge more - I will figure out how to tip them…」

「I booked the room for my colleague, she said, "the hotel is dodgy, quite dirty and a hostel with interesting characters, smells of weed and generally no safety… the breakfast was really bad and I was the only one there… it seems like it’s not a hotel that is actually used for tourism/business." 「I spent five days at the lodge. The staff is excellent. Most have been working at the lodge for 20+ years. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and bathroom was small but functional. I appreciated being able to open the windows at night for fresh air. The pub is first rate. I strongly suggest having breakfast there. 「Where to begin. The staff were all super friendly and polite and the lifts work quickly, I think thats about where the good points end. The hotel is utterly falling apart. The main reception is relatively well maintained and clean looking, the other attached reception is abandoned, falling apart, the bar and resturaunt is closed and abandoned, the main door doesn't work, missing carpets with exposed rotting ply-wood on the floor and walls with random bits of rubbish and broke furniture spread...
