"This place is very rural. Katherine is a very nice host.The unit itself is about 10 ft by 20ft. The inside table for dining is in the photo with a glass top. There are two stools, a coffee maker, a small fridge, and a Queen-sized bed on a platform. The mattress was very comfortable. It might be a bit challenging for older guests to get on the bed. "We've stayed at the Hilo Hawaiian numerous times and each has gone well. The staff are always pleasent and helpful to our inquiries and requests. The location is great with ocean views and proximity to the beautiful Queen Liliuokalani Park, Volcano Nat Park and town shops and stores. It would be nice to have luggage stands in the rooms however the rooms are very large and spacious. We always enjoy our stays the Hilo Hawaiian and will return again. Thanks HHH!"

"Definitely stay here! The rooms are lovely as are the hosts. It's right on the water, a short walk or drive to the main shops & farmers market. Also a short drive to many lovely beaches. The breakfast was incredible - and they even accomodated gluten-free. Really great overall, great deal and we'll stay again if on Hilo!"

"The room came with an amazing view and had good facilities. We unfortunately didn't get a chance to use the hot tub but it would've been lovely with the sunset. The kitchenette was well stocked and the room and hostel was very clean and well kept. Would definitely recommend for someone to stay here."
